At the moment there’s an M278 on Ebay. The figure is out of blister and has been badly painted.
What I want to ask is, why does he carry a shield? As far as I know the original release never included a shield. That’s what I know from the one I own and from Gildor’s Database.
Of course the pose of the left arm might suggest that he’s holding a shield as a defensive movement to block an attack while his sword-arm is moving for a thrust.
In case there ever has been a shield provided with this figure it must have come close to the M276 shield from the same series. Unfortunately one cannot see the arms of the shield in the picture on Ebay.
To cut it short:
Is there anybody who can confirm that the M278 was ever released with a shield?

from what I see of the shield, it is an addition… I am quite certain there is no shield along with this figurine, all my sources including mithril official pictures show there are none…
Using the spare Lossarnach shields is a good idea, Gavin. But there are also those two “Accessoire Packs” from Mithril which provide a wide range of different shields.
