As I was asked over there in The Pony I put the Balrog pics here now.
Though … I’m not sure if this is the final version.May 29, 2011 at 12:39 pm #17691As I was asked over there in The Pony I put the Balrog pics here now.

May 29, 2011 at 8:14 pm #17704Am am always impressed by the expression of our beloved Troy Shady!
They are soo full with love, abandon and passion.
I really like it.“Very nice” also very short. Helps to save time. And you need time for painting miniatures . . .
May 30, 2011 at 9:43 am #17709I am glad to see a bit of your work in the gallery Master Ent, this one is very inspirational for me.
June 13, 2011 at 11:55 am #17926gets on me nerves by now, whenever I took some pics they went lost on this hard drive thing … alas … 3rd attempt …

June 13, 2011 at 12:05 pm #17928mind that there’s not only stone in the vault … there also is an old root of a tree which goes deeper than the Balrog can imagine … though he’s contemplating about the layer of that glittering Mithril …
June 13, 2011 at 1:54 pm #17931Beautiful ! How you achieve this effect…. ?!?!?
June 13, 2011 at 3:21 pm #17932Well, Master Theobald, this is really overfantastic. Chapeau for this work.
You placed the rocks very well, also the big stones. And the root is really a brilliant idea.
Also the regular colour scheme is very fascinating.
I think, this is exactly THE diorama for this figure! And this is the standard every other must compete . . .I see you cut the “horns” of the Balrog. I like that. He looks a bit more dynamic. (I hope that wasn´t an accident . . )
June 13, 2011 at 4:11 pm #17935Thank you, Master Turambar, as I very much appreciate a statement from a perfect diorama-builder and skilled painter … accident it was first, when I dropped the figure … then I thought it would be better having him without those antlers …
June 13, 2011 at 5:00 pm #17936Which effect Master Thingol ? There is none.

PerfectJune 14, 2011 at 8:44 am #17946Master ent, You did a tremendous job ! 😎
As Master Thingol pointed out, corosion… & ashes ! I love this idea Fanstatic.January 28, 2012 at 1:45 pm #22883Err … thank you … but by now there are some unknown things to be added, I still don’t know how to cope with those, but they have to be added … so I’ll try …
January 28, 2012 at 3:39 pm #22884I had the luck to see this in real! It looks very good indeed and the use of the materials is absolutely !
Though I don´t like those “things” -unfortunately- it is a very good idea to add them inside this piece, Master Tree!I suppose it is worth waiting for!
January 28, 2012 at 4:12 pm #22886ausgezeichnete arbeit!
