July 30, 2011 at 11:55 am #19061Hmm, I can’t see a thing…..
July 30, 2011 at 12:17 pm #19064First of all I have to tell you that two of those Mithril-maniacs took me by surprise.
One day Master Turambar asked me if he couls visit me, as there was an urgent matter for that. I did agree, of course. But what he reveiled left me breathless (and still it does). That’s what this thread is about. It all started with the idea of our Master Caster from down-under. Long time ago he asked me which of his Harad-conversions I like most. I really then couldn’t decide or sort out, because all of them are just wonderful. Then I chose that mounted falconer, I think just because Hsf62, some years ago, gave me his M16-falconer conversion for free, painted by himself. This is not a casted figure, by the way, just a single-piece conversion I’m still proud to host at a special place, next to the original M 16.
My friend Hsf62 then let me know that I could have that Harad noble with the falcon, but not unless after it had been painted properly. – Then I really forgot about that, as it simply was one of the many questions having been asked on MMP.
As days and months did pass the conversion must have passed all the way from Australia to Germany into very skilled hands, where it had to stay for a while, as paints do not haste to dry.
So it was Turambar who did the painting. Well, after that he contacted me about a visit. I simply was glad to have a chance to meet one of us “in reall life”, so I was happy … but until then I didn’t know about the “Harad noble with falcon, mounted”.
So I’ll post some pics here, as I promised. I know I posted 2 pics already in another thread, but here I’ll try to give you an impression (photos cannot come close to reveil a figure, as they’re just two-dimensional, they just can give an idea of what a 3-dimensional figure is).
In the Ent I would like to state that the figure is not casted, it’s “just” a conversion, a single piece.
Thank you both, my fellow Mithril-maniacs.July 30, 2011 at 12:18 pm #19065I really cannot haste, Master Hsf62 … so, please be patiENT …

July 30, 2011 at 12:30 pm #19068See, it’s Master Turambar’s way of presenting wonderful miniatures … choice of colours, using the precious wooden-base and the natural material he collects in Britanny … the delicacy of some fragile elements being added to the “base” …

July 30, 2011 at 12:34 pm #19069I hope you, reading or watching this, won’t mind that I covered so much space here for this. I just want you to have a look at a marvel in my collection and also enjoy.
July 30, 2011 at 12:38 pm #19070Alas, I’m getting crazy by now as the weather still is ….you know what.
So, this morning I had a contest of falconers (inside) just for fun. It’s the child in me that still is present. I hope you’ll enjoy that contest and can tell me who was the winner.July 30, 2011 at 12:55 pm #19071first challenge was … M16, the lady-falconer
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_falconers_1.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_falconers_1.jpg[/imgz]
then there was this other Haradrim falconer who joined
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_falconers_2.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_falconers_2.jpg[/imgz]
even a brown Istari thought he had a chance of winning …
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_falconers_4.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_falconers_4.jpg[/imgz]
then there was this “unpainted” man from Harad, some chief, I think, but nonentheless quite pale, though being proud of his bird and challenging all the others …
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_falconers_5.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_falconers_5.jpg[/imgz]
so this now is the Ent of the competition for now … I hope you enjoyed it …

July 30, 2011 at 1:15 pm #19073Very nice my friend, all good things come in three… just need another falconer, then they can have a tripple contest.
I’m sure a elf would make a nice folconer too. I do have the fitting one.
Thank you for providing those pics, so I can at least have a closer look at the magnificent paintwork.
I also have to say that Master Turambar improved the figure with adding on some buttons. Very good thinking!July 30, 2011 at 2:04 pm #19081I am glad you like it, Master Ent! And I am glad you do the same Master of the casts!
July 30, 2011 at 2:07 pm #19083Someone has to admire your work and I’m one of them for sure!
