sorry to disturb all of you with my own problems…
I’m not sure anymore I want to carry on… I won’t extend on the topic but fact is my wife and I got a lot of dispute recently and it ended up with her taking whole shelves of my painted figurines in the glasscases while I was at work and she simply threw them away in trash… definitly lost I don’t even know what she has taken because we are in the process of moving places and they had switched place…
I feel like giving up… now my collection is jeopardized, my painting work thrown away and anyway, considering how Mithril/PA is handling their releases… (not to mention Phaeton)…. time to turn a page of 20years maybe…

April 4, 2014 at 12:42 pm #30180Well, that’s a hard one indeed … at the moment I don’t know what to say. This sad news leaves me paralyzed with fright.
April 4, 2014 at 12:58 pm #30182I hope very much that your domestic crisis settles down again, Master Gildor, and that whatever issues lie between you have been resolved. All in all this is the saddest news I’ve heard in a long time.
I don’t know what else to say.
April 4, 2014 at 12:59 pm #30183She threw them away???????? Into the rubbish?????
Well, your wife must be extraordinary upset. As Master Tree I feel a kind pf paralyzed . . .
Concerning the present state of mithril and phaeton I do think for myself leaving all that behind cause I am really fed up with all this. I can´ t tell you . . .
But that doesn´t really help you at all Master Gildor, doesn´ t it.Puuhh- she must be really upset. I do hope you can solve your problems . . .
April 4, 2014 at 2:11 pm #30187Difficult to add anything on that
painting work can be redone and I may help you with missing figurines as I have many double I can offer to you as soon as you moved.
Most important is your familyApril 4, 2014 at 2:31 pm #30189Master Mornedhel has a good point – it seems likely that between us we might be able to replace many, or perhaps even all, of your lost figures once you have a clear idea of what’s actually been “lost”. Admittedly they wouldn’t be painted, but having the figures would be better than not having them.
April 4, 2014 at 3:19 pm #30190O my God ! Does your wife realize what she has done ? Probably thousands of euros thrown away !
But of course it is very sad to hear people can have such disputes, especially when they are supposed to love or have loved eachother. Hurting eachother this way is not really a solution to whatever problem there is.
I think I may say we all hope you both will find a way to work it out.April 4, 2014 at 3:44 pm #30193huoommm … as a first step I can think of, it is to place this thread apart from a public board, as “The Prancing Pony” is, to a more “private place” to a thread that is not accessable to anyone out there. Master Gildor provided some such threads. –
As this is a very private matter, I think we first should think about this.
Sorry, but it’s all I can think of at the moment for taking a first step.April 4, 2014 at 7:34 pm #30194oh well… I discovered she had “hidden” them very well pretending she had thrown them away…. that’s a relief but well I really need to refocus on some matters at hand
Some of them are broken because they were “fragile” but shields can be mended and reglued…
the figurines she had taken were from Far Harad, Gorgoroth, Laketown, Mirkwood, Corsairs of Umbar, and all the LT range…
well I suppose the crisis is over for now… thank you for your kind words, all of you gentlemen…
(edit : oups , it seems I have an identity problem here… schyzophrenia I suppose… moving the topic, as per Theolbald wise advice)
April 4, 2014 at 7:42 pm #30195I am glad to hear that it that it was just a “warning”. What ever you do, think it calmly. Rush is not good.
April 4, 2014 at 7:46 pm #30196I’m sure Master Theobald would agree with your wise words, Master Ori.
April 4, 2014 at 8:33 pm #30197Well Gildor, I was about to commiserate with your loss, but then read your further post. I’m glad to hear that the damage is not as bad as you (and we) feared (still not a good situation though, whatever way you look at it ).
Though some repairs seem in order at least it would appear you still have your figures which is a blessing.
I too hope that whatever issues you are currently going through will sort themselves, hopefully this is a resolvable issue between you both.
Many moons ago, my collection of LotR figures was ‘stomped’ on by a former Mrs D, a bit like an Ent stamping on an orc. Thankfully they were Citadel (GW) figures, therefore not precious , but the scalpel blade left a nice scar on my arm .
Best wishes anyhow.
April 4, 2014 at 8:41 pm #30200I think I can understand why she’s now a “former” Mrs D.!

April 5, 2014 at 11:42 am #30202I just read this thread.
I think I know a little bit how you can feel.
Well, Mrs Milo often tells me that one days she will put all these small metallic toys in the oven for melting…:mad:Family & kids are important above all other matters. Passion when not shared remains individual and should have lower priority.
So, my advice is to hold on for mithrils for a while (even years) and take care off all 4 persons you care the most at home.Mithril can last asleep (or hidden) for ages. Family & Kids cannot.
If you ask for, I’m sure we all can help you :
– MMP management
– Mithrils minis replacement
– Mithril next releases buying for you
– keeping safe Mithril treasures you have. It would be terrible to learn some of these have just dissapeared…:mad:April 5, 2014 at 1:31 pm #30204Thank you very much, Master Milo, that’s what I expected you would do. In case some more help is requested … you know me (the Tree) …
April 6, 2014 at 6:37 am #30208Best Wishes, Gildor, to you and your family. Hopefully there is a compromise, and you can focus more on your family without leaving Mithril totally. But you and your wife will work that out.
I also agree with Milo, help is there for you, should you want/need it.
April 6, 2014 at 6:30 pm #30212Hm… I wasn’t here for a last few days… but this topic is to too shocking for me… all figures in trash… or not.. does not important in this situation… this is definitely turning point for thinking about ways of life…. I know that family and kids are important, but what is family… for me it’s a balance, harmony and respect for all the love, history, hobbies and important things that we enter into this new life….This is a situation in which I would honestly thought about how my wife really respects me…. this is not a story for thinking about children or family…. one day she will trow away something else just because of she think that this is a warning. Warning for what. All your figures, comic books, books or something else will be in the trash if you do not think about something like she,…… will the things of your children goes to trash if they collect a few bad grades in school …!?!?!? …. what now can I say… I’m really sorry Master Gildor.. this sad situation requires a lot of endless talks… I unfortunately do not have a surplus figures and extra money to help you, but if I could in any way in the future help you, let me know …
April 7, 2014 at 3:18 am #30218Master Thingol I believe you hit the nail right on the head with your statement. A very sad situation for both parties to be in. We only know one side of the story, but there are always two.
