I recently discovered that Prince August created 8 “Décor” sets in France, back in the 80ths.
These are small diorama ready for painting, made of white plaster or resin (I do not know exaclty).I already found “S2” and “S8” sets. I will take pics and show it here.

What I like is that some mithril dwarves were used to illustrate the box. 😎

October 24, 2014 at 7:51 am #31366Hey! they are nice, specially the one with the bridge almost immediatly i had a mental picture of Aragorn and Arwen there… or a mounted ringwraith running trough it ^^
Maybe those models are from the same time that they produced the resin base of the boxed set [mith]MB279[/mith]…
Thanks for sharing, anyway.
October 24, 2014 at 9:13 am #31369I think resin for MB279 is grey, Décor sets are made of white stuff.
October 24, 2014 at 5:43 pm #31370on our French website sale between individuals (le Bon Coin), a person sells the bridge for 30 € + postage.

– Er, but just a question: when were those pieces first produced by PA? Do you know?
October 29, 2014 at 7:36 am #31387Thanks Master Ent, I appreciate to read your compliments.
Images for S1, S3, S4, S5, S6 are displayed on sides of my S2 box. I did not dig to deep
These were made by PA France only.
Year of production is not writen anywhere. Still we have some clues:S2 box covers show [mith]CH24B[/mith]-3, [mith]CH26A[/mith], [mith]CH26B[/mith]-2, [mith]CH27B[/mith]-1, [mith]CH27B[/mith]-2
S7 box covers show [mith]M83[/mith], [mith]M156[/mith], [mith]M160[/mith]
S8 box cover show [mith]M155[/mith], [mith]M157[/mith]A, [mith]M159[/mith], [mith]M163[/mith].So it seems Décor started just before mithril: 1987 and ended just before “Durin’s Folk”: 1990
October 29, 2014 at 9:56 am #31388Thank you very much Master Milo. – So this means that these Décor sets are part of the very early Mithril history though produced by PA (which nearly is the same, of course). It’s a great find.
