How does the Kickstarter actually work in practice?
I think I am aware of the theory having seen them on other projects, but what sort of price do we have to pay? I have seen all sorts of high monetary values mentioned in return for getting different packages.
I’m fine voting for a kickstart, but would hate to find I have committed to enough gold to buy Scrumpy for a year or two (sorry Barli).
it all depends on how the pledges ranks are managed and it is up to the person who launches the project…
kickstarter may not be “the” platform that would be used, but something similar… I do not know and don’t want to theorize a lot on that as I have no clue… the idea is just to know if people would like to see that kind of promotion/sales/commissioning
So twelve votes so far. Myself included. Let´s wait and see HOW MANY fellows here on MMP are actually “active”. And of course what result comes in sight.
I’m the 13!!!
Is very probably if we prepare a introduction about this project and suport the poll with some images and history about this “NT” miniatures… can help to decide some more people!!
I feel more inspired by the Phaeton NT figures than a lot of the ‘Company’ figures, so I do hope that at some stage (sooner than later) they see the light of day.
I’d get some but not the full range (spotted some plate mail already, which as you all know is anathema to me).
Kickstarter also means lower prices than normal retail prices to encourage customers to give you their money in advance, so I’m all in for a Kickstarter as long as you can pick what you like instead of having to get the full range.
Also some companies offer all the already produced items at a reduced price as add-ons to hook more people in. I’d grab some more while I’m at it for sure.
