Sorry, a bit late to this topic – but my two cents, I also realize Chris tries his best with these auctions, but I really think he should limit the amount of sets people can buy. To buy two sets, one to keep and one to trade is okay, or to sell eventually at a market price, but for people to buy 5 sets, with deep pockets, is not the best way and unfortunate. Just my opinion and others can disagree. Although ebay is not set up to limit the buy it now option, he could put message saying the number are limited to 2 or 3.

(honestly when you know that the figurines will be sold out in 2minutes, you directly click BUY without reading the text, you read the text AFTER confirmation you got your set(s)
the only way he can prevent that is to :
– sell outside ebay
– limit the number of sets being sold at one time….

WOW!! That was fast. What, 48 seconds?!?! I tried to enter one with the count showing nine left and was shut out! Darn old, slow computer!! It seems that most bidders were restrained and only took one or two, so I can’t really complain about hoarders. Ah, just as well, saved me some Euros!
I have to chuckle at the fact that Chris just earned about $50 a second for 48 seconds! Good for him! Perhaps there will be another chance at these fine fellows, but I tend to doubt it with this one.
WOW! that was fast. Sorry to hear that you missed it presto. I barely got in myself, I was the one at 47 seconds. It wouldn’t hurt for you to email the Man, you never know . . . .
well it was a long time since MW were sold that fast!! it can both be frustrating but it is also a good sign that people are really serious collectors … From the buyers’ list I could not see this dear “drizzt..” which in the end could be a good thing.
I think there will be a second batch later, that would be odd, it would not match the quantity of the former sets…
