There was a painting challenge on http://www.one-ring.co.uk/ which I seem to have managed to miss the deadline for.

      (Not that it really mattered).

So out come the six or so Games Workshop wights that had been floating about my miniatures collection, primed and uncared for, and out came the three or four Mithril wights I had.

The result, for the purposes of future scholarship looked like this:

      wight_complete5.jpg

The ones we are interested in look like this:

      mithril_wight1.jpg

      and this:

      mithril_wight2.jpg

Not bad, going to get a few more to paint.

(And yes, I know there’s one, a, the, singular wight in the Lord of the Rings, but I wanted a few for a MERP adventure and I can use this lot for war gaming.

            Thank you Master Thingol

Though I do note that each time I see them together, I mentally refer to them as the Northern Cardolan Freestyle Disco club.

These are brilliant, Gavin! A wonderful choice of colour, as Master Thingol point it out as well.
I like especially the armour-colour. Very “rusty”. Perfect.
That reminds me on the M024, which stand in front of me – unpainted – since six years!
Your example encourages me to think it over.
              Very good, Gavin !

Rolling on the floor, throwing Humpens in the air, scrumpy-disco fountains, rise! I wanna be part of this club! Yeah! :):D😆
