Choose your favorite suggestions for future Mithril ranges – Poll n°1

I have voted ONCE. ( Only?! ) Was it wrong. Was there the possibility for me to have more votes . . .

Than Gildor accomplish this… with more votes of potential voters Chris will seriously consider all those ideas… and if in some short future he made some kind of new M list with this ideas than on GF MS forum will be easier to left new suggestions…

The already produced series such as the Easterlings and the Wilderland figures have costs paid by Mithril/PA already in them, they would likely be first produced for sale as far as M releases are concerned, if they could be sold profitably enough for Lars. I believe if Chris could go to Lars and say: “Look at this interest, we can sell enough of these series to be profitable,” The Wilderlands and Easterling would be produced, but probably at higher prices per figure than previous M series figures.

I understand that this is a poll that asked for new ideas, and the Grey Company (and others) would be great if produced. But believe me, the price per piece for any new M series would also need to be higher than we are used to before Mithril would agree to make it.

I sympathize with you Theo, the idea of figures made already but not released for sale is a sad one. I hope they will at least find their way on ebay someday, as Chris intended with the Wilderland series last summer until he cancelled his plans due to the Galadriel recasts being sold on ebay.

Let me state here, Gildor, that Mithril would surely be really dead or nothing more than a “living dead” or zombie if mmp would not be run by you. I say this not to please you, it is true!!

There are so many lead figures companies out there, many more than in the 80ies and 90ies, and face the “great lord” on the market successfully, that it makes you wonder, how Mithril could survive such a competitive pressure. It is just, because 1.) there are some “geeks/freaks” or how you would like to call them, who are willing to buy and 2.) because there is one great sculptor who is able to catch atmosphere in his sculpts.

The Group of geeks is quite small and with every single geek who is upset, Mithril looses on of his “sponsors”. mmp has does comfort us, unites us and gives us a homely house like Rivendell, if the world is falling under dark shadows. If Mithril will die, this place will be unsafe for sure, too……..

I like this poll!! I like mmp!! I wish, the company would do as much to keep Mithril alive.

Without MMP, I would never have revived my mithril passion. Master Estel is totally right.

Thank you, Gildor, I received your note concerning this vote. I did already. But what just came to my mind is, that as far as I know, two sets from the series of this list do already exist and just have to be produced by Mithril. Maybe it’s worth to keep that in mind.
