This is not a Mithril vignette, just a conversion …

October 4, 2008 at 12:11 pm #3339Excellent, Master Ent, I can’t praise it enough, it just goes to show what can be achieved with a bit of thought. Where is the chariot from?
Perhaps when you have time you could post some more images to show the detail up a bit closer.
October 4, 2008 at 12:27 pm #3341Huoommm … thank you for the kind words … details? closer? … just let me try …

October 4, 2008 at 12:41 pm #3342Now that is interesting! And very nice.
Who did the converting?
October 4, 2008 at 12:44 pm #3343Sorry, but it wasn’t me having casted all those parts … I just had to choose between some parts available … then use some of that “Green Stuff” to make it a bit more stable … well, priming and adding details … and things like that.
Oh, yes it’s the first time that that good old forgotten idea was assembled and being photographed. It’ll have a nice place in my collection ….
As for your query about the chariot you’re in the wrong place here as it is part of a riddle … So I’ll place it there if you don’t mind ….October 4, 2008 at 12:52 pm #3345Huuoommmmrhuoommm …. details, closer … hom … keeps me busy … let’s try this one

October 4, 2008 at 1:56 pm #3347wow- Master Ent, this is brillant.
As mentioned somewhere here around, that I am not sure of converting external parts in mithril . . .
I should revise that.
This is brilliant !October 4, 2008 at 4:35 pm #3353Huuoommmm … why not change or re-organize some of them Mithril-figures … huoomm … I know about those people who chop off heads or bases just for a diorama …. rhuoommm … no harm intended … hom … others try to find ships to fit with the Corsairs … huommm .. so, why not do it? …. ney, not chips for corsairs, please … alas … sometimes I feel getting old … rhuoom
October 5, 2008 at 7:08 am #3356Very, very impressive, this chariot. Is it already (re-?)primed by using a grey colour, all parts look so consistent? Wow …
October 5, 2008 at 10:31 am #3359Well, first of all let me thank you for the compliment … huoommm…. now to answer your question; I can say that all parts have been primed for the first time within the last two weeks … hom … not being re-primed … huoomm … for that I used the good old ‘Humbrol-enamel’ nr 1 (matt) … which, as I witnessed comes closest to the Mithril-undercoat (which recently was changed and until now doesn’t seem to be perfect – talking about those Knights from Dol Amroth)
… alas … there also were discussions about the difference in grey between the old regular Mithril-releases and the more greenish touch in those figures of ‘Saruman’s Army’ …. huoomm…
Oh yes, that consistency is what the name tells … a good mixture of that enamel paint I referred to and a drop of that superglue … rhuoommm … does work … and as soon as you’ve cleaned your twigs (sorry … fingers) from that sticky old stuff the leashes will hold .. hom … in between you will have spent about two or three brushes … rhuoommm
alas, too talkative I have been … sorry …October 5, 2008 at 1:02 pm #3360Not too talkative, not at all! Thank you for those explanations!
October 5, 2008 at 1:45 pm #3361Huoommm … so I just turned them chariot around …

October 12, 2009 at 9:38 am #7392Where is possible to buy this chariot, and pieces like this… ? Thanks for your answer Master Tree….
October 17, 2009 at 1:52 pm #7422Thingol, I feel sorry having to tell you that this piece (or parts of it) are not available anywhere.
I received it as a very (!) generous gift from the one who created this masterpiece.
I simply assembled all the different parts (there even were some variants for the horses and the figures) and primed the chariot-piece.October 17, 2009 at 5:35 pm #7423Anyway thank for your answer… I hope I will find somewhere something similar… all the best Master tree…
October 17, 2009 at 6:00 pm #7425Well, Thingol, as I said before I really do regret that this piece will never be casted or provided.
A friend gave it to me. As far as I know there are only two chariots as this one existing. But fortunately I’m still in contact with this friend. But though friends there are, some choose to be not named (NN). I have to respect this.October 17, 2009 at 8:15 pm #7427Don’t think about any more…. 😆 your answer is just enough
