It was real fun to assemble and build that piece …
April 17, 2011 at 10:24 am #16856I hope you enjoy. – Of course I can tell about the parts I used for this chariot, if you’re interested. Our Master Caster will recognize some details he sent me. Thank you.
April 17, 2011 at 10:33 am #16859What a master piece. :cool::cool:
Un grand Bravo to every contributors on this one ! :D:DApril 17, 2011 at 10:59 am #16863Enjoy?! We L O V E this chariot!
What a marvellous uniqueness thing! Absolutely perfect. I have to say a bit better than the dunlending one.
Give a warm thank you to N.N. in this case.PS: look at the case of the spears, the banner, the harness, the chariot itself!
Absolut top!April 17, 2011 at 11:26 am #16865Thank you.
Yes, this chariot basically consists of parts casted by Jim Corless, including the conversions of the two figures. Though I decided to use those horses again instead of wargs.
I had to “convert the conversion” of the fighter. Holger helped me by casting the spear with the hand, so I just had to cut and drill a bit. He also supplied me with a lot of weapons, as I wanted to realize this idea with the basket with javelins, as I think it doesn’t make much sense that a fighter only has one javelin to throw. Then additionally I added that bow and quiver.
I also had to think about how the ropes had to be assembled.
As for the flapping banner, Master Turambar, I decided to pirate your idea of using metal (though I used some lead from a Malt-Whisky bottle neck). The long spear again is one of Holger’s contributions.
As there was no more base left, I had to make one myself.
There was this hole at the front of the harness, so I decided to add a small metal pole with a horse-skull I found in one of my dioramas.
In the end I used that Mithril primer to spray all the parts.
Yes, I admit that there are more thoughts in this chariot compared with the Dunlending oneApril 17, 2011 at 8:45 pm #16874This is one of the best model I ever seen. Great, full of life, magnificent…. shines… full of passion, and conversions are awesome. Thanks for this pictures Master Ent…..
April 17, 2011 at 9:34 pm #16877Master Theobald, please feel invited to “pirate” ( as you call it . . . ) everything you want.
I gave you the compliment back. I look again and again to this chariot and I feel fine!
That´s the intention, isn´t it . . . ? !Being inside a time loop I found my chariots parts which I compile after your presented pictures of the chariot during the Christmas-riddle 2009,
and I am working on a chariot too. But it will be a different one.PPS: Oh- I suppose I know that Malt-Whisky . . .
April 18, 2011 at 2:24 pm #16890I’m really looking forward to seeing pictures of your chariot, Master Turambar. I’m sure you’ll have it painted with your special skill of choosing the right colours.
Err, yes, Lagavulin it was. I simply had to convince my wife to let me open that bottle, because I was in need of some handsome lead from the bottle neck. Though she doubted it was just for the banner … but such are Ent-wives.April 18, 2011 at 2:42 pm #16894Very Nice! Where did the shield design come from?
April 18, 2011 at 5:08 pm #16900The figures used were M241 [ Brodda, the Easterling](converted as a driver), M242 [Hithlum easterling warrior] (just converted twice because of the right hand). So the shield is original with the figure. I also wondered about the design of the shield when I first bought that figure in 1992.
As far as I can remember these were the first Easterlings C. Tubb sculpted after the M152 Variag. Based on the “Silmarillion” by Tolkien.November 30, 2016 at 6:22 pm #35441Both of the chariots are well done!
