For those interested the bidding on Item number: 200195490635 is now at £128 with less than 5 minutes to go. It will be interesting to see the final outcome!

February 2, 2008 at 6:10 pm #1129Well Dritz….. won this lot for £261. A very happy seller out there no doubt!
February 2, 2008 at 6:12 pm #1130Dominique Beuret??? once again?!! damn!! that’s the best/worst mithril business man I have ever met… I know him quite well, he is french… but we already discussed that long ago…
No secret, all the lot will be redispatched for at least ten times its price, solde one by one… he is a collector, but business man first…. without mercy…
February 9, 2008 at 10:15 pm #1280Well, Mr. Drizzt’s big weakness is that…well, I don’t think his auctions fly off the shelves. He sells some. I am sure he probably sells enough to make it worth his while.
But that collection will now just sit on his ebay selling list without a whole lot of movement.
I was going to bid about 120 myself, but it shot beyond that. I had hoped that the eventual winner would have been a collector, or someone who would show the figures a bit more love.

February 10, 2008 at 12:28 am #1281Well Dominique has many other ways to sell his figurines than ebay
actually I even think ebay is not at all his first source of sales
February 11, 2008 at 3:49 pm #1285At the moment there’s a set of the Half-orc army (Mw347) offered by “bugger!”
Item-nr. 260210474949
So Monsieur Beuret is not the only one have to sell some of those nice pieces.
I also learned to know him once or twice and can underline what you said, Gildor: “a businessman without mercy”.March 7, 2008 at 2:53 pm #1638Very tasty stuff on eBay right now, including the iconic M16. Also, our friend Drizt is having some photo matching issues a sales ploy?
….
March 7, 2008 at 3:33 pm #1639no?? is it drizzt who advertises for “common figurines” with the pictures of the M7 all over?? that’s really a pity!!
as for the M16 I am following this auction just curious

You can be sure about that,Gildor.
I also do know him well from some purchases I had with him a long time ago. He’s hard … He’s also willing to spend a lot of money on rare Mithril releases … he’s one of the one to raise prices by bidding on Ebay, as far as I have witnessed within the last years.
This I do not want.
Dominique, for me, is no collector (though in the meantime he might have his private collection completed). Did anyone watch (or remember) the offers from Chris for the Mw347? Drizz bought some of those first sets. … but just some and started late for the others …later on.
That’s what he sometimes tries to offer again and again on Ebay for horrendous prices.
As for me, I do not like that at all.
In the old MMP there were placed many thoughts about this matter.
This cannot something to keep off interested people from collecting Mithrils! Nay never!
Sorry, I had to react right away …March 10, 2008 at 9:45 am #1666but they are reactivitated…..
I said so already
in your profile there are two fields where you can put the references you want, and those you want to offer … and then you can cross-search who has the figs you want, and who wants the figs you have to offer
I spent a full week at programming that and nobody uses it ?

It just doesn’t help, if I’m the only one.
If this is not enough for others, they also can put up a want/trade list like the one I did.
The only thing is to invest the time to write the minis down. I’m sure whoever makes this effort will get some good out of it.May 4, 2008 at 6:05 pm #2128Item number: 230248909570 – a couple of early rohan figures – one mounted (minus sword by the looks of it) and the foot soldier. There are some other figs as well – elves and an orc.
May 4, 2008 at 6:43 pm #2130Yes, all of them are very early figures … but what they have in common is that each and every part is missing …. I mean weapons, shields, etc. … the M11 and M12 could be stripped off that paints …. but was does it help when there are no bows …. so be careful with bidding
May 4, 2008 at 7:18 pm #2133Yes I missed that other small detail
There is also a [painted] camel without the rider up as well, so if anyone has the rider but not the camel well here’s your chance
May 15, 2008 at 8:41 pm #2215Item number: 120262437529
A Painted Razarac is up on ebay – low starting price and about 6 days to go.

June 5, 2008 at 7:47 pm #2331Item number: 180250396284
[early mounted] Riders of Rohan and Witch King.
Bits are missing and a couple of horses are off the base, but…….
Dave.
