I think all of us are impatient for the final result
Like a lot the drawings and outlines of the project. That attention to the details explains a lot the wonderful results you achieve in your scenes
January 9, 2012 at 12:05 am #22567OK then,
really a lot of work has been done!
After seing those amazing conversions my Master M.M – shared by Master Theobald- I made the decision that I want to have a real Harad-diorama.
That was somewhere in October 2010.
I was a present guest on ebay that time, swearing that this would be the last time! Thanks to Master mjach at this place !!!!!
It was possible to get all the figures I long for. It was also possible to get the visi -which I gave away for years- for a very convenient price.Making all these conversions that way was extremely toilsome and I will leave those kind of conversions in future.
The ways for having a real sophisticated result are often very frustrating. And very expensive!
( the mounted visi-conversion wasted four figures! Thanks at Master Milo at this place! )
Still- this diorama is a compromise! Unfortunately! Figures are missing . . .
Sometimes some waiting-loops are too long and you have to tear the ripcord. Otherwise this diorama would have been finished never . . .So- as far as it is possible in this “dark” country I would like to present to you :
T H E B L A C K S E R P E N T S
. . . meeting at the old ruin town where the harad-road starts for going towards Gondor! Following the voice of their master . . .

And very kind of you, gentlemen !!!!!PS: the pics are a bit small, aren´t they . . . Don´t know why, I always take the same size . . .
January 10, 2012 at 10:17 am #22585Amazing job, master archer. The composition, the conversions, the paint job, the drawing in the back… marvelous
And i agree with master Milo: the yellow light in the third picture enhances the desert sensation
Waiting for your next project
January 10, 2012 at 4:01 pm #22598Well, Master Turambar, about the size of the pics, maybe you re-sized them too much while uploading? – The one you sent me was so much better (though it definitely was the same pic), because it reveiled so much more about all those details and your way of painting the figures.
January 11, 2012 at 4:33 pm #22628As I was asked several times in different places I wnat to show the sketchbook parts. In this case two pages,
as the Easterlings-project was born out of the Haradrim-project . . .PS: Master Theobald may I corect you. The watercolours are made from Schminke. Only the box is from Lukas.

January 11, 2012 at 4:45 pm #22629J’adore.
January 11, 2012 at 5:40 pm #22631Master Turambar, of course, you are always welcome to correct me, as I cannot be omniscient. But I was a bit right guessing that those water-colours were ‘Schmincke’ … best quality ever.
As for your latest pic, there are two things I would like to mention.
First, I am very glad that you decided to publish two pages of your sketchbook. Yes, I wasn’t the only one to ask you to do that favour.
But second, I have to witness that the poor quality of the picture you provided here just offers a marginal idea about the way you combine scripts, sketches and colour-testings, etc. – I’m afraid it once again has to do with the resolution of the pic.Anaway, thank you very much, Master Turambar, thank you very much indeed …
January 11, 2012 at 5:52 pm #22632I just checked … uploads here are automatically resized to 640X480 … hmmm
January 11, 2012 at 11:00 pm #22635Magnificent once again, and to repeat the comments the third photo with the yellowish tinge gives it real atmosphere – the look of a hot sun maybe just rising or setting as a cool desert breeze comes in from the Eastor West depending on the time of day.
Would love to see a ‘real’ book produced of all your work AND sketch book ideas as both are an inspiration to others
January 25, 2012 at 7:52 pm #22832What a great work. I like it a lot.
And with your little introduction,. you help to explain the atmosphere and what you were trying exactly to represent.
This forum has some very good artists.January 25, 2012 at 11:29 pm #22842Thank you!
December 6, 2012 at 10:11 am #26145Turambar,
An excellent job as ever. I have just joined this worthy forum, though I confess to having only some 20 or so Mithril Rohirrim amongst my extensive LOTR collections. Still this forum has always been an inspiration to me and Mithril were amongst the very first LOTR figures I collected back in the day.
I cannot claim the serpent motif, since like you all I have been inspired by Tolkein artists and historical designs over the years,
but I am nevertheless flattered…
Master sukhe_batorDecember 7, 2012 at 10:45 am #26191Ahhhhhhhh !!!!
Welcome here Master of the shield design!!!!
Very nice that you didn´t damned that and giving me very nice words instead.
20 mithril minis are better than having none! You have to show them.
(I think I have seen those Rohirrim somewhere . . . )Nice to have you here!
December 7, 2012 at 1:53 pm #26194Both of you should have a meeting one day sharing your wonderfull haradrim art !
