Another Mithril mistery solved. Now we may call it “Bilbo on pony”
Thanks Master GildorApril 30, 2013 at 9:51 am #27708“Bilbo on horse”, surely?
April 30, 2013 at 11:58 am #27709You are right Mr Barliman, “Bilbo on Big Horse” 😆
And do you know the real Bree village in Belgium, Mr Innkeeper?

April 30, 2013 at 12:21 pm #27710No, the real Bree is at the bottom of my garden – it’s there every time I pull open the curtains. I don’t think it’s ever been to Belgium (it suffers from sea-sickness), but the little shop here sells lots of Belgian chocolates.
April 30, 2013 at 12:30 pm #27711well there is the town of Rohan in Bretagne too in France you know
July 22, 2014 at 9:22 am #30912sorry to dig up this old topic but well, today in my mail I was surprised to see a little rarity !

it seems there are more than one of those after all!
July 22, 2014 at 9:34 am #30913What is the story behind this figure? I’ve never seen it before.
July 22, 2014 at 10:53 am #30914well as I said in post #19 of this thread :
Gildor Inglorion wrote:by the way I have the history of this figurine… it was meant to be for a project of Hobbit characters mounted (dwarves on horses and hobbit on poney) but this project never came to fruition. Chris had made Bilbo on a horse and when sculpted he noted he had made a mistake, making the poney… too big, actually a big horse which was not canon at all and unfitting so the project was put aside.but I can manage to see if I have more info in my exchanges with Chris
July 22, 2014 at 11:04 am #30915Apologies, Master Elf. My memory is seriously not what it used to be, and a year is a long time. I had genuinely completely forgotten about this!
July 22, 2014 at 11:18 am #30916If it not a problem… could we know who was in the other side of the post office…. or shortly…. who sent you this magnificent mounted hobbit….
July 22, 2014 at 11:19 am #30917….hm….. I read it now
July 22, 2014 at 5:43 pm #30918A nice surprise to be sure
July 22, 2014 at 7:02 pm #30919Bravo Christophe, this is a great add-on on your unfindables shelves !
