Ok then, it´s my turn now.
Already one week over since I visited Master Theobald.
I was really excited to go to “Osning” again. The third time, if you remember right.
It was a bright sunny weekend and we enjoyed staying in his wonderful garden, having delicious plum cake and that elsewhwere mentioned famous coffee of Mrs. T.(can you imagine having plum ckae on a summer afternoon in Master Theobald´s garden? Absolutely fantastic!)
Going by car this time allows showing some of my favourite dioramas “in real life”, what makes Master Theobald really happy.
Not only because one of these dioramas will stay with him FOR EVER !!!![imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1060760a.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1060760a.jpg[/imgz]
Later on this summer evening we had a professional BBQ which was really nice indeed.
And honestlly we wanted to stay outside till dawn.(can you imagine having a barbeque on a summer night in Master Theobald´s garden? Absolutely fantastic!)
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1060765_s.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1060765_s.jpg[/imgz]
But there were important things to discover. So we went upstairs.
As mentioned: going by car allows a lot. So my XXL-project was with me and Master Theobald do know how large it will be in the ENT ![imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1060769s.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1060769s.jpg[/imgz]
It was again very intensive and enlightening visiting Master Theobald and his kind Entwife. Being the perfect host.
August 31, 2013 at 12:50 pm #28495Absolutely fantastic, indeed
It’s always a pleasure to see ones of the pillars of our community to meet and discuss together…August 31, 2013 at 2:08 pm #28496The Tree’s…..er, foliage seems to have dimished a little since last time.
August 31, 2013 at 4:00 pm #28497Huooom … so it’s my turn now.
Yes indeed, that weekend was very much enjoyable. I was so glad to see some of Master Turambar’s smaller Dioramas that close. It’s only then that you can see his excellent painting skills and the way he perfectly includes natual material in his dioramas.[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_christoph_im_garten_1.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_christoph_im_garten_1.jpg[/imgz]
I am so grateful that again he gave me a magnificent gift. He uses to assemble the figure(s) to the base when he’s here – that’s safer.
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_christoph_im_garten_2.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_christoph_im_garten_2.jpg[/imgz]
… and he is very careful doing that.
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_christoph_im_garten_3.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_christoph_im_garten_3.jpg[/imgz]
Unfortunately I cannot show you the completed small Diorama here, as the figure, an excellent “female Elf archer” is non-Mithril. But instead I would like to show you his “Trumpeting Ent”
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_ent.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_ent.jpg[/imgz]
Well yes, as Master Turambar already said, dawn was very close when we decided to find some sleep.
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_wohnzimmer_1.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_wohnzimmer_1.jpg[/imgz]
On Sunday he showed me another marvel: His sketch-book with all those texts, drawings, ideas, colour schemes, pictures, and plans. Now that really is a marvel, believe me.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this “documentary”.
August 31, 2013 at 4:09 pm #28498Well, Master Barliman, I’m just about getting ready for next autumn in time.
August 31, 2013 at 8:06 pm #28499Wow, this is another great meeting with fantastic reporting. I imagine both of you will remeber it for ages !
August 31, 2013 at 8:24 pm #28500Hoummmmmm very nice indeed ! I really like this part of MMP !
September 2, 2013 at 7:37 am #28501Great moments to share his collection with another fellow
It seems to me we are so few as the last elves by the beginning of the fourth ageSeptember 2, 2013 at 7:46 am #28502Personally I’m more akin to two Elves – at least, I imagine I am, judging from the girth of my trousers.
July 25, 2014 at 11:17 pm #30935Err, sorry for interrupting you gentlemen.
But nearly one year passes away and it´s about time to prepare.
Time to prepare the travel of myself towards Fangorn forest visiting our dear Master Theobald.
Or is it “Osning” forest? Anyway.
So- as far as I am concerned- everything is prepared well and perfectly and I will start the travel tomorrow . . .PS: hold on for being updated . . .
July 27, 2014 at 2:22 pm #30936yes, hold on, please as here there will be another marvel presented soon. But first I am in need of some sleep as this weekend slowly comes to an end.
July 27, 2014 at 6:46 pm #30937another marvel? you awake my curiosity master Ent
July 30, 2014 at 1:16 pm #30957So- I will have a start. As mentioned, I visisted Master Theobald last weekend. As usual in the summer. A kind of tradition meanwhiling.
The fourth time I have noticed! Therefor a very special thing has to be packed very carefully indeed.[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1070138.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1070138.jpg[/imgz]
The weatherforcast promised a bright sunny weekend so I decided to take this two-wheel-thing. I reached Master Theobald´s house in good condition and
everybody there pretended to be happy to see me.[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1070142.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1070142.jpg[/imgz]
We took a seat outide in his wonderful garden with his kind Entwife and enjoyed the summertime. Right in time we noticed, that it is “Pimm´s O´clock” :
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1070144.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1070144.jpg[/imgz]
Not the time for the cat. He simply overslept the most important point that afternoon:
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1070143.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1070143.jpg[/imgz]
My friend Master Theobald was surprisingly happy receiving a special gift. He deserves that, believe me!
At this time we already had the second glass of Pimm´s . . .[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1070146.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1070146.jpg[/imgz]
What happened after that? There is only one thing that is able to top this. A fine barbeque!
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_p1070145.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_p1070145.jpg[/imgz]
We spent an amazing summer night outside. Went upstairs later on having some serious discussions about some serious matters.
Sometime I wondered why the sky is slightly dawning while it was in the middle of the night . . .
Master Theobald corrected, it is NOT in the middle of the night anymore . . .So- for myself- I can say a thousand thanks for the great host! Again an enlightenment visited the Tree! See you next year . . .
July 30, 2014 at 1:27 pm #30959Thanks to both of you for sharing with us a bit of your journey & night.
I love these meetings !Drinks looks much better than scrumpies at PP.
Could you tell us a bit more about what was on the BBq?July 30, 2014 at 1:35 pm #30960Can we have a closer look at the gift? Looks tremendous.
I like your choice in cats, Master Tree. This one is a very handsome soul – makes me miss my own recently departed friend even more.
July 30, 2014 at 2:00 pm #30962………….. small reportage of the great meeting…
July 30, 2014 at 2:23 pm #30963Oh, I’m afraid I’m a bit late … anyway, here’s one more pic in which you see Master Turambar Fixing the last parts of his marvellous gift, a massive and simply excellent vignette.
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_nr_3.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_nr_3.jpg[/imgz]
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_nr_5.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_nr_5.jpg[/imgz]
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_nr_1.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_nr_1.jpg[/imgz]
yes indeed it was late before we went inside
[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/9_nr_8.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/9_nr_8.jpg[/imgz]
I have to thank Master Turambar very much for that exceptional gift of which I don’t know how I deserve it. By now it is his fourth gift to me, a fourth Diorama. I will Show some close up pics of it in the “Mathom House of Michel Delving” tonight.
All in all again it was another wonderful weekend we spent together talking about Mithril and miniature matters in general.
July 30, 2014 at 4:55 pm #30966Well, Master Milo, on the BBQ was a lot of meat of which I don’t know the correct English names.
Master Barliman, concerning the cat I have to tell you that it was not my choice at all. Hajo chose us as “his humans”. He was a young stray cat who one day decided to stay at our place some years ago.
July 30, 2014 at 5:00 pm #30967He’s obviously enjoyed staying there.
July 30, 2014 at 7:27 pm #30969Many meat. It sounds very good to me.
It seems MAster Ent has not only pimm’s but more liquid treasures at home. Is it entish water on the table ? -
