He is rather good, isn’t he?
August 16, 2017 at 7:45 pm #36310well painting undeads from dunharrow the way I envision them is rather hard and requires a special paint I use specifically for it , a little mix of heavily diluted fluo green (lighted with yellow), in order to give them this spectral feeling while still being “corporeal” (like in the movies)
August 16, 2017 at 7:48 pm #36311This last newsletter brought us many great news…. Dunharrow foot soldier look very good but information that we can expect many releases in very short time makes me sad… I’m a little bit “short” with investment potential till Christmas
August 16, 2017 at 8:05 pm #36313but why has the Dunharrow deadman no shoes or boots?
All other clothes seem to be conserved, but no shoes…
Maybe it is a big undead Hobbit? 😆August 25, 2017 at 3:30 pm #36330[mith]MZ632[/mith] & [mith]MZ638[/mith] added in databse. I’m ready for next ones announced in last newsletter. 😆
August 25, 2017 at 4:58 pm #36331and Elfhelm will AT LAST see the light of days!!!
I updated the chronology. It seems the backlog is finally melting up….
Only MZ621 remains to be filled as a gap.

August 25, 2017 at 7:06 pm #36333“nothing special? !!! “
Are you serious?
Sorry, but in my opinion that is quite unfair to say.
The horse is beautifully sculpted, and the rider fits perfectly in all the Rohan line. There is a good man in our rows waiting (and many others surely also, including me) over 2 years! for this release,
and then it is rated “nothing special” OMGIs that the result of the long waiting time?
how oddAugust 25, 2017 at 8:18 pm #36334the horse seems unique actually, it looks like the cape of Elfhelm carves into the hors bottom (assuming there are two pieces and not a single one, but the picture looks like there are two pieces)
also the rear right foot of the horse seems at an odd angle or is it me ? I am not a horse specialist
August 25, 2017 at 9:06 pm #36335As Master Halbarad says, I’ve been awaiting this chap for a verrry long time, and I feel that the wait was worthwhile. I’m personally very pleased with him. Nice to see a new variety of Rohirrim shield too!
August 25, 2017 at 10:36 pm #36336I absolutely love the Deadman as he is amazingly close to how I imagined him when I put forth the suggestion!
August 25, 2017 at 11:13 pm #36337I agree, I really like the deadman too, I’d like to have many of them to build an army of undead
August 26, 2017 at 6:58 am #36338He is an excellent figure – the best Mithril ‘Man of Dunharrow’ thus far.

how oddTo the Halbarad the second:
Keep calm and stay cool and drink scrumpy…. that’s all what can I say on this post… 😎 Cheers !
August 26, 2017 at 9:14 am #36340I’m completely agree about the new Deadman of Dunharrow… awesome figure… I hope one day MIthril will release army of dead as a regular M range of figures…

August 26, 2017 at 10:45 am #36342I like both, and certainly echo the comments about the ‘dead-man’ being both a very nice figure and needing more of ’em! Re Harry’s comment about his footwear, I guess shuffling around for as many years as the Dead have been then it would have taken a harder toll on the ‘leather’ .
Re Elfhelm, not sure how far the artistic design can be taken to make these figures more ‘special’, but I guess that to maintain the CT style then some of the extra detail that the MZ process could realise has to be avoided.
I have said before that while in general, CT has replicated some amazingly intricate details on his figures, horses and other ‘creatures’ have generally lacked some of this ‘extra’ detail. The horses imho can look quite basic at times (and don’t get me started about that damn wedge of metal between reins and horses neck 😆 ).
September 20, 2017 at 8:54 am #36387Just created new [mith]MZ635[/mith] & [mith]MZ639[/mith] in database. About pillars, I wonder how many are usefull to make a proper Isengard diorama ?
September 20, 2017 at 9:07 am #36388I’ve just been wondering that myself. I suppose there would have been at least one on each road that approached Isengard and at each junction, though it’s anyone guess how many that might have been! Personally I shall buy two.

Personally I shall buy two.I like what has been produced – I was imagining some form of large carved hand similar in design to the Isengard shield emblems with a pointing finger, but what has been produced has an elegance to it I like while retaining a look of slight menace (and in the style of Thror’s map illustration). As to how many….?
