i have continued to bring my collection to ebay. almost 100 figures this time, and some very itneresting ones.

After a very long time I once again had a look at the offers of Mithril-figures on Ebay. – First I was speechless about those few bidders and, of course, about the extremely low prices. About 10 years ago I never imagined such a decline could have been possible. – Anyway, this simply seems to reveal clearly that the interest in Mithril-figures seems to have been running down for some years by now. That saddens me a bit, but, to be honest, I’m not surprised of this development.

Thorondor, my comment has got nothing to do with your auctions at all, don’t get me wrong, please. I wish you would earn just a bit more for those figures as many of them are very rare and wonderful.

Well Master Ent,
I keep registering every week ebay prices for mithrils. It is not bad, nor good for current year 2015.
Some mini are more expensive, some less, average remains almost stable.

In the end, Master thorondor auctions appear to have reached correct average prices considering Mithril availibilities & also recurrent sales on mithril web site (often -15%, sometimes -30%, even -50%…).

ah, well. it also saddens me that there isnt that mich interest in mithril any longer. also some more bidders would be very welcme at my auctions
but then, i also lost interest in collecting the figures. there was a time when i was very fond of my collection. and i was extremely looking forward to each new release. then, for a few months “real life matters” took all my attention, and after that i somehow couldnt rekindle the fire. and after some years in boxes i finally decided to sell.

i am happy that the figures will find some new mre worthy homes now. though i also wondered about the low price on MS 530 Celebrian – someone made a real bargain, don you think, master milo?

The market is largerly satisfied. I’d bet most Mithril figures are securely kept by people who love them. At least mine are…

Well, I just checked that the link works and it does indeed.
I am sure this MA1 Galadriel figure in antique finish seems to be quite rare. But you might know. The figure seems to be in excellent condition, though it isn’t offered with the original box .

– lots of Christmas figures (one of them is an not-antiqued Lord of Khand from 2010)
