Grey coating for me too.
July 3, 2014 at 8:26 pm #30781Yup Grey Coating for me too
July 3, 2014 at 8:39 pm #30783What they all say Tom, grey coating – Mithril’s trademark .
Looks a great little scene and a gap filled for sure .
July 4, 2014 at 4:27 am #30784Thank you friends! I will let Lars know that the traditional Mithril grey undercoating is the choice for all vignettes!
July 4, 2014 at 10:44 pm #30785Grey coating, what else?
July 5, 2014 at 8:18 pm #30802Hello Master Archer!! In the past some fellows have preferred to apply their own undercoating. But none of them have spoken up here, so Mithril grey it will be for all. Otherwise, if requested, I would have asked Mithril to leave 10 to 20 uncoated.

The others, I suppose, don´t like that scene too much ????Hey Chris, I hope Tom/you’ll forgive my late comment (3rd July), but I was ‘slumming’ it on a beach downing Tequilas when the thread started .
It is releases like these that remind me why I carry on collecting MM’s despite the static attitude of the company itself when it comes to releasing figures.
I like everything about this one and I am just waiting for a payment request from Mithril 😆
July 5, 2014 at 10:17 pm #30804I, for one, prefer my own udercoating. But my collection is more focused in wargaming and roleplayig miniatures rather than vignettes, that’s why my opinion doesn’t really count.
July 6, 2014 at 4:53 am #30806Arthadan, your opinion does count to me. If you want a figure with no coating, please tell me, and I will have Mithril/PA set one aside for you!
I also role play, and I’ve never needed a Cracks of Doom vignette, but you never know . . . . .
July 6, 2014 at 10:36 pm #30814Master twrich, I am one of those who prefer uncoated miniatures. BUT only in the case armour and weapons were included.
I use the “bare” metal surface for having a great effect using water-thin black oil colour and a tip of burned sienna for having a great metal optic, for my taste.
I do know that other paintesrs use black or even white undercoating,
but I made the experience that mithril´s grey undercoat is simply best. Therefore I undercoat different figures without undercoat EVER with a “shade of grey” !
But anyway: your efford to paly “everyones guitar” is great and you have my deepest respect!July 7, 2014 at 11:11 am #30818Thanks Master Twrich for your offer!

July 16, 2014 at 7:30 am #30894This is what I call a very beautiful mithril scene ! 😎
July 16, 2014 at 8:58 am #30895the price remains correct, though it seems once again it was not the one planned
July 16, 2014 at 9:03 am #30896Damn I just noticed i did nothing to order it… I’m too used to the autoshipment process that I forgot that MX was not AUTO bought
I wrote to mithril I hope I did not miss the opportunity to get one
July 16, 2014 at 11:57 am #30897I ordered mine this morning Master gildor. 92 are left. Don’t worry too much.
July 16, 2014 at 1:04 pm #30898I followed Michael recommendation to add MX to my auto shipment of the black troll and female elf
July 16, 2014 at 2:35 pm #30899well i did ask that too but they did not answer yet…
July 16, 2014 at 2:55 pm #30900I still do not understand why an MX-release not automatically is included in the autoshipment. Because of this it’s only a “part-autoshipment” to me, alas.
Anyway to avoid any problems I sent Joan an email about adding the MX600 to the next autoshipment parcel about a month ago, but received no confirmation. So today I wrote again quoting my last email and just an hour later received a confirmation by Joan.
As Master Milo put it before, at the moment there’s no reason to haste.July 16, 2014 at 6:22 pm #30901Arthadan, I’m afraid that it was too late by the time I saw your post to reserve one uncoated. Would you like me to ask Mithril to strip one down for you, or would you prefer to do that job yourself? I’m sorry to have been away from MMP too long
