Nice paint job and colors! By the way, I like these models better than GW Haradrim.
By the way, if anyone around here is a fast painter – it’s you!
April 13, 2009 at 4:05 am #4935Well, as you have seen my details are not that good, but I am happy with what I do.
The GW Haradrim are really bad! I did not like them in the movies at all. Mithril is far superior!
Thanks for the compliment.
April 13, 2009 at 9:06 am #4936. . . seems that there is still some of that Vodka in my blood when I have a look at the picture, Jason . . . π

Keep up the good work

That if, I used to paint a pair in one afternoon 10 years ago
Incidentally, Jason, I like what comes out of the cave

April 16, 2009 at 10:27 pm #4962Here is my Gandalf:

A suggestion:
First, buy a cheap tripod from Ebay or even at your local pharamacist. Won’t cost more than 10 dollars.
This means you can play with focus and lighting a lot easier. And see more details of the paint job.
You can also use cheap and cheerful photography tricks like putting a neutral coloured cloth behind the mini.

April 16, 2009 at 11:15 pm #4964Thanks, Master Gavin! I will look into this, but I am just putting up my work because I haven’t done it in awhile.
When, I have a few small armies painted then I will focus on better photography.
Here is my last one for the day, M43(which is using the spear from the M44 and vise versa):

[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/14_100_1521.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/14_100_1521.jpg[/imgz]April 23, 2009 at 5:54 am #5002Nice work Jason! That is exactly what I think an orc should look like!
April 23, 2009 at 6:04 am #5003well it seems others paint orcs the same way I do exact same color I would have put darker color for the wolf pelt though, it’s a bit too bright, unless it is ambiant light?
Nice work Jason
April 23, 2009 at 8:19 am #5004I can always change the color of the pelt. I am not sure which color though. I will see.
Thanks for the compliments, guys.
April 23, 2009 at 8:37 am #5005I just saw couple of days ago a TV- documentary about Yellowstone National park. The wolves there were absolutely more grey-ish !
And because yours is an evil one you should also put some black, too. Maybe, Jason you can try this.
PS: and donΒ΄t forget to shade the colors . . . -
