En regardant de plus près la référence MZ 684, je crois percevoir une anomalie…de taille. Le cheval couché semble vraiment trop petit par rapport au piéton. Quant est-il vraiment ?
Est-ce dû à la photo qui écrase la perspective ?

Looking more closely at the reference MZ 684, I believe I perceive an anomaly … of size. The lying horse seems really too small compared to the pedestrian. When is he really ?
When is he really? Is it due to the photo crushing the perspective?

Fabrice, your observation is correct, the horse is smaller than some have been, but overall it is still a very nice miniature :).

Well on the database picture (the one that displays all the pieces) it looks quite correct, but on the one that master daines has posted, the horse seems more a poney or even a smaller criature! :o:o

Since the change to the MZ-releases there seems to have risen some problems with proportions and different sizes, I think. Not in general, of course. But sometimes it becomes obvious. Master Fabrice Jacob is right with that.

I shall investigate in that and put Chris in the loop, I am not sure it is intended but a result of the casting process…

Chris answered me this morning :

Hello Christophe. I looked the Folca horse and , yes , it is on the small side , though I would hardly describe it as a foal as a man’s shoulder still coming to the saddle height. Nonetheless I take your point. It’s a shame I didn’t spot this before printing as it only takes a minute to change the size of it on the base.
It’s a shame about the horse as this is one of my favorite pieces. The original winning vote was just for the boar but I love vignettes and decided to make the complete scene. I was particularly pleased with the boar.

well error is human :) but at least we have an explanation :)
