the base only
April 4, 2012 at 10:19 pm #23761If it is only the base casted in resin, than we should remember the “Whitch-King-box set” . . .
Actually mine has . . .April 5, 2012 at 8:04 am #23762yes this has already been mentionned
but well the resin caster may not be the same as the one who worked on MB279
Considering that the releases of those vignettes have been postponed for many months now (though the sculpting are long finished) we can assume that the Man experiments test casting and he won’t release them until he is satisfied with the end result.
This alone provides me enough confidence that the result, even in resin will be top casting quality
I don’t know though, which one will come first… The Great Traveller or the Destroyer
April 5, 2012 at 1:22 pm #23763Hopefully “the Great Traveller” . . . if it is that I suppose it is . . .
April 7, 2012 at 10:26 am #23774Er, as for the discussion about well-casted and well-designed bases didn’t we all forget to consider the base of MB422 (Smaug the Dragon triumphant), which in fact is all metal-casting and very much filled with details and even four additional parts. Quite heavy that excellent base, I think.
April 12, 2012 at 12:26 pm #23801some info here : Chris is willing to do a remake of the Bearfos CH30 (in his PCH range) . In this event I asked him some question about the origin of this figurine :
Bearfos was the first attempt by Prince August, back in time, to commission a figurine for a willing collector/buyer (ancestry of the MX program) Bearfos is the only figurine of this “program”. the name is pure invention and was chosen and given by the person who ordered the figurine made. There is thus no ethymology or history behind this name, it may well be a RPG character name for the person who was behind the concept…
I don’t know who is this person though
April 12, 2012 at 3:38 pm #23802Master Gildor, as I bought and sent one for you last week, I can tell a name (like ‘Costello’ if I remember well) is mentioned below its base.
It might be the willing collector/buyer name ?April 12, 2012 at 4:13 pm #23804I’m just sure that a remake of Bearfos will turn out to become a very nice figure. Yes, indeed, it goes back very much in time.
April 12, 2012 at 4:43 pm #23806I also think that it’s prefigures a magnificent figurine
. I look forward to seeing it finalized
April 12, 2012 at 4:52 pm #23807What does the old Bearfos look like?

April 12, 2012 at 6:40 pm #23811Going by Chris’s recent form with PM resculpts of this CH stuff this would be a cracking figure I think
April 28, 2012 at 10:38 pm #23950Alas this month we won’t see the big Destroyer or Traveller yet (some problems with the resin caster… not technical but logistics…) so… tomorrow we shall see a new PCH the remake of Bearfos actually
