Might give me a chance to catch up
September 28, 2012 at 7:30 pm #25058I shall look forward to November. Hopefully it’ll be an early Christmas present!
September 28, 2012 at 9:11 pm #25063… fine for me…. I currently find myself in a small crisis with money…
September 28, 2012 at 9:16 pm #25064After 2 big ebay auctions, some delay in next releases is welcome
September 28, 2012 at 10:35 pm #25068I think you’re right, Master Gildor … that “big surprise” you mentioned will finally be released. So there’s no problem to me that in October there will be no other releases. I was so long longinging fot that vignette. Keep fingers crossed to have it see the light.
September 29, 2012 at 6:31 am #25069Good news for me also. releasing mini budget.
September 29, 2012 at 4:11 pm #25070a vignette? who spoke of a vignette? I just said big surprise
September 29, 2012 at 6:15 pm #25074Alas, Master Gildor, did I use that word? … I just thought that when the last release covered 4 magnificent figures and then one month is left out, it could mean that the next release might be a bit larger than the last one. Right? – it will be a big surprise anyway.
September 29, 2012 at 7:28 pm #25075…. I like big and positive surprises…
I hope that I will not feel the too big surprise in my wallet
September 29, 2012 at 9:14 pm #25076also there should soon be some “moves” on the mithril side, as I heard Mithril will release regular figurines again! (but in early 2013 I think)
all in all, there are many surprises for the forthcoming six months.

:lol::cool:
September 30, 2012 at 8:23 am #25079I shall remain hopeful, but because we’ve been disappointed before I shall remain cynical until we actually see any new “regular” product emerge from the Emerald Isle.
October 19, 2012 at 4:44 pm #25262Ah yes, same with me. Staying hopeful though still being a bit sceptical about rumours of better developments.
Then I’m also still waiting for some reliable news about further or planned Phaeton-Design releases. Er, news I said, not rumours. That related website really never did tell very much, did it.
October 19, 2012 at 5:43 pm #25264Chris sent me e-mail where is written that next releases will be from Robin Hood television series of Michael Praid’s “Robin of Sherwood” from the mid eighties… which figures are designed through his daughter sketches… and smaller range of figures in the series of Irish Cuchulainn myth cycle…
So I will buy Irish Cuchulainn myth cycle but I’m not sure in this moment for this Robin Hood… since I’m a little bit short with money, and I’m a not big fan of Sherwood guys…
I hope we will see soon new figures which allude on JRRT characters….
October 19, 2012 at 5:51 pm #25266Hm, I think not all of this is correct as you put it, Thingol. I received an email, too.
October 19, 2012 at 6:04 pm #25268….maybe this is same e-mail where he examines the opinions of its “market”…
this is e-mail which he sent me…
Hello Nino,
Thank you for your comments. I’m glad you liked the figures. Miranda was something in the way of an experiment but I was pleased at the final result. She was really an experiment to see how complex a figure I could get cast in one piece, and I was pleasantly surprised that it was possible. My inspiration for her was Toyah Wilcox in the Derek Jarman film of the Tempest . I wanted to get the moody teenager “look” , and hope I succeeded in some small measure. I was thinking of making some Robin Hood figures in next months ( based on the Michael Praid ” Robin of Sherwood” series from the 1980’s) for the Phaeton line. What do you think of this idea? My youngest daughter, who is studying illustration at university, did me a series of character sketches which I might use to create a series of figures if there is any interest among collectors.I also have some figures based on the Irish Cuchulainn myth cycle ( a personal love of mine) which I have been working on for a couple of years and which I will also put out as a Phaeton release …..
Any feedback or comments would be most welcome. Thank you for your continued support for my workSo who knows what is next…. maybe our precious Master Elf….

I am a big fan of the Robin of Sherwood series, so minis based on them would be a blast. And Cuchulainn sounds like worth waiting for as well.
Cheers
TolwenOctober 25, 2012 at 11:44 pm #25321I’ve just ‘caught up’ on the Phaeton releases with 10-13, and what nice figures they are too (maybe not everyones’ subject matter). Being a Ludite I have never read Shakespeare , but I do like these figures from the Tempest.
Chris mentioned three new figures for November, but did not specify the exact nature – I would be more than happy for that chap from Nottingham though 9as hinted at) as I’m sure the figures could just as easily be adapted.
October 26, 2012 at 8:45 am #25322Well, I have mixed feelings about this new release… I really loved Michael Praid “Robin of Sherwood” Series, see it here in Spain when I was a teenager, and it will be nice to see them with Chris Tubb’s vision of them.
But one of the great expectations I had with Phaeton miniatures was to see the minis that, for reason know to all of us, we would not see in Mithril Range – still waiting for some more of them.
Don’t misunderstand me, I’m not critique with Phaeton Range ( as David has pointed just above, many could have discovered (or rediscovered in my case) Shakespeare works, and that’s great, I think) but I will like to see more thinks related to “you- know-who”
After saying this, I will buy Sherwood minis too, of course (so…. shut up and take my money!!!:lol:)
