Yes, my expectations were the same as Master Imisel’s, and I’m disappointed that thus far we haven’t seen any of the known “unreleased” figures of which we’re all aware. Though of course, Master Gildor has intimated that this situation may soon be rectified…

I missed something here?

I did not see anything about robin hood nor was informed by Chris at all, could somebody link me to the figuriens you mention?

If you’re talking about the chess figurines for robin hood, they are from prince august and existed for quite some time it seems

as for phaeton figurines future releases, The Tempest is over and there will be more focus on fantasy figurines again…mithril style, as always

Gildor, as far as I can judge Master Thingol quoted an email he received from The Man. In that some ideas about possible further planned releases have been mentioned. Those were just thoughts, not referring to any planned or even sculpted figures.
I would like to suggest that in future we should better not provide such things, as it might lead to confusion or unbased speculation.
In the last email I received from him this was just a thought. As for the Phaeton Design releases I think you are right, Gildor, as I guess you are better informed about that than me.
But here we shouldn’t broadcast anything we know of, as I’m sure Chris wouldn’t like it.

ahhh well I knew about a project with robin hood but that remains a project and well nothing is written in stone, it was an idea

I thought it was about phaeton releases, sorry !!

I agree completely with Master Ent… I will never left any massage from Chris any more… We will wait and see all… it is better to expect figures as a surprises not as a speculations…

I disagree with Master Ent and Thingol or I do not really understand the meaning of sharing thoughts but also news and rumours on this forum nor the section “The Secret Vaults of Angrenost”.

disclose elements that were clearly meant NOT to be disclosed by people has not its place here indeed, its a matter of trust.

On the other hand, this place is a place when we can share information that is UNofficial (from Mithril) but have “leave” to be broadcasted by the man…

there is a difference between what mithril (Michael) says and let us know and what Chris Tubb says and asks me to “broadcast” and also the things he asks me to keep for myself , which are not to be spread, even here

I think it’s easy and fair enough

and if Chris doesn’t mention anything about broadcast or not, what is the “fair rule”?

For instance in the mail to Thingol, nothing is mentionned about not to forecast …

Yes….. he did not mentioned nothing about not to broadcast any information, but we know that he do not want to broadcast nothing about possible ( just an allusion ) JRRT characters ( and we respect this for obvious reasons ) but about those “other” figures like Robin Hood, ancient Romans, fantasy characters, Shakespeare, Irish warriors, Mongols…. etc… I do not see what is problem with those… all those figures will be in Phaeton range in some future… and I’m happy because of this…

Usually unless said explicitly I try not to share anything he told me about his forthcoming works or projects sometimes it could generate false joys, or false disapointments

Very wise, Master Elf. Personally, I think there have been so many disappointments over the years that I prefer, these days, to be pleasantly surprised when something actually does get released, whether Phaeton or Mithril.

When it involves communication with Chris , it is best to consider his comments and advance pictures of unreleased figures private unless he asks that you publicize them, or if you ask him if it is OK and he agrees. This is just a best policy so that he can feel confident that he can express himself freely to us–especially if discussing company matters, but also for future ideas about JRT based figures (due to the license issues).

As for Phaeton figures, I believe these conversations with Chris are less touchy to repeat, but I still ask him first.

some bad news I have due to some final detail problem, the big vignette is postponed for one month…

but there will be some new figurines in Phaeton range this november anyway… will keep you updated in the forthcoming days
