… treasure ! Are they sure that between all those moulds is not hidden M16… somewhere under a thick layer of dust…

i’m perplex, if all those moulds still exist, figurines can be remade, even if the quality of the mould is not possible to remake batches I am sure they could rebuild masters and recreate moulds….

indeed they won’t … for rarity purposes… but nobody tells us they don’t do it on occasions, and make some promotional sales telling us they found ‘old rarities in their drawers’…

….. so it is not entirely true that they destroy molds…. Mithril company is shrouded in mystery. They look like a medieval work manufactories….. No one knows what lies in the depths of the warehouse…. maybe another one :lol::lol: Balrog

As far as I know Mithril never mentioned that they intended to destroy moulds. There’s one exception. When the MX-designer figures releases started, the company said that they’ll destroy the moulds for assuring that the limited release of those figures can be granted. So maybe this was mixed up here. – As for the moulds of the MXs, I might ask if someone is interested in this.
I only once received a picture of the destroyed Frumgar-mould. I’ll have a look.

Destroyed…. :lol::lol::lol:
The cut in the top part of the mould is on a different side to the cut in the bottom part of the mould. If you put them on top of one another they sit perfect in place without moving. You can use this mould for casting still! Its also interesting that neither of the cuts run through any of the to casted parts.

Right you are, Master Hsf62. Perfectly right. You are the one who doubted exactly this about a decade ago, if I remember well.
I also know that you’re the one among us who can judge upon such things, even more, as you were then involved to find out about the destruction of the “Frumgar”-spin-mould. I just provided that old pic from the company for fun. Of course that spin-mould could be very easily refixed again, as you know. It just needs some skill of a mould-maker and caster. 😆 😆 😆

I just can’t help myself not to speak out if someone tries to tell me a fake “story”.
I know the mould can be used the way it is now. If you have a look at the pic you see the shiny metalpins with the ball on top…. The mould clips together. No way to move in any direction. But hey, you are right Master Ent, snow from yesterday….

Well, just one more idea about this. Didn’t the company once say that the mould would be broken (as that is the original name of the pic “broken moulds”)? They didn’t say that it would be destroyed completely. As for me, I’m not interested in the present condition of “my” other MX-moulds any more. Why should I be? I took a lot of fun from the figures being released and that’s all there is. So you’re right, Master Caster. Who wants yesterday’s papers?

At the time I was in contact with the company re the mould and after we received the pic of the broken mould, I asked if the mould could be send to me to be put in a picture frame, of course me paying for the postage, I received the answer the mould was not to be found anymore, most likely thrown in the bin… Yes right! LOL It’s very interesting what they lose and what they find in their huge factory! Just pissing myself laughing when I hear this nonsense. 😆 It seems they make a stock take only every 20 years so they have enough time to find thing needed and misplace things not needed/wanted anymore. Isn’t it facinating? :rolleyes:

on the other hand what else could they answer no to risk being put to trial

by contract they are supposed to destroy the moulds admitting they still have it could put them at risk because of a contract breach…

Don’t make me say I trust them when they tell you they threw it away… I just say they may “change the truth” so that it suits them and does not create problems for them Since there’s no one here who’ll be able to prove them wrong or worse, liars, they can say whatever they want
