So who have we got Griffo, Iris, an unnamed Cardolani mercenary (get on it!), a mysterious Ranger in the corner, a somewhat triggy looking gentleman. Gildor is already showing up – as Gildor! I suspect Master Brown will be a retired Rohir warrior.
Who are we missing from the hardcore regulars? (I suspect Tom Bombadil will make a cameo appearance too, so that’s someone else )
Gavin

– Beorning Outcast, Human, male, middle-aged
– Scout, Thief
– Silent; in general more mischievous than evil“Actually, I am on a quest, searching for the not-so-tame she-bear Lloragh, formerly the proud wi… possession of my chieftain, a … beauty. How did he lose her? Well, let’s say there was a small accident, something with a broken lock and a village in chaos … and I was … well … chosen, yes chosen, cannot really speak about this, it is a holy ritual of our tribe.
Was following a trail south, then across many the mountain passes, back and forth, but lost her somehow. Have seen things on that journey. Things. Many things … things those little hobbits over there dare not even imagine in their darkest dreams. Need more ale, by the way. Would you be so kind?
Still trying to rise again to my weary feet (you see my crappy boots? All right, yes, they do smell … a bit …). What was I saying? Ah yes, someday I will continue the search, but not now … those weeks of ale in this verry comfortable place have softened my zeal, at least for now.
But you could do me a little favour. There are rumours of a mighty bear visiting nearby settlements at night. Too tired to look into it myself, but if you are interested in earning some coins …. No she will not bite you, never!”
March 30, 2009 at 6:54 pm #4725Gavin, you need a Cardolan name ? “Addreoryn” was found in that name-machine . . . Is it good ?
March 30, 2009 at 7:46 pm #4727Perfectly good.
March 30, 2009 at 10:43 pm #4730o.k. then . . .
By the way, Gavin. Absolutely great work on that Nazgul stuff.
Can´t wait to read something about Hoarmurath of Dir !March 30, 2009 at 11:08 pm #4731I dunno, I’m kind of tall for a hobbit. I must have had some ent draught at some point.
What would a chick hobbit be doing in the Pony?
March 31, 2009 at 12:08 am #4732Well, my name is Boirin the Smith!
I am a dwarf that is retired from adventuring and am the local blacksmith here in Bree.
I provide all of the weapons, armor, horseshoes, and many other metal items to the locals.
I am from the Iron Hills originally, but have decided to settle here in Bree because it is quiet and peaceful.
If you need more I will think of some other things to put.
March 31, 2009 at 12:30 am #4733Ohh, I like it!

Great Job Master Caster!
April 1, 2009 at 1:10 pm #4746I’m a garrulous, balding, moustached, robust (or is that rotund? I can never remember) imbiber of rare beverages. But then, you knew that.
April 1, 2009 at 2:22 pm #4748I know Master Barliman I know.
There is a lot of work in “Mithril Barliman”, but I’m sure I sort something out, especially after your comment.April 1, 2009 at 2:28 pm #4749Ahem, Wendy, what or who are you?
Are we staying with the Hobbit? Someone has to cook for the visitors of the Pony. I wouldn’t leave that up to Master Barliman. Give me a hint please!April 1, 2009 at 6:41 pm #4752I guess I shall be Iris Proudneck, formerly of Longbottom, cook at the Pony. That one lively hobbit dancing on the table was lucky he didn’t get a whack on the head with my wooden spoon! Almost knocked the food off, he did!
April 1, 2009 at 6:58 pm #4754Guys, you’ve outdone yourself.
This is better than I could imagine.
April 2, 2009 at 3:45 am #4762A voice from (one of) the dark corner says: “I am named Voraliv by those of Rivendale. Around the Pony I’m perfectly happy to be refered to as ‘the man in the dark,’ or ‘that ranger.’ My real name I do not reveal, as names give power to those who can command them. As you all know, I travel far and wide, drink ale, and smoke a pipe.”
I am attired in worn but sturdy travel gear, mostly light leather, but with tough boots and hardened leather armor under my hooded elven cloak. A sword in scabard hangs from my many-pouched belt, but any other weapons I might have are concealed. Whether travelling or not, I often am found reading an ancient book of lore.
