This is all beginning to sound like it being an MS or MX figure rather than a good-old M release!
March 6, 2013 at 4:54 pm #27287huoommm … as for the price for the great-new-upcoming vignette I won’t wager or guess any more, because all these efforts are in vain, methinks … rhuom … one day soon the price will be set … and I think it will also have been seriously considered before …huom …
for those among you who like calculations, I suggest to think of the MX-UP as being 15 single MX-figures plus some furniture and a massive base, not to mention the instruction sheets and the box … huoomm … don’t be surprised by the result … rhuom … ridiculous, isn’t it? … I simply think that some compromise will be found, also with the new vignette … huomm …
so why haste ? or worry? …. huommm … in the Ent it’s not us who will decide such matters, right? … houoom …March 6, 2013 at 4:57 pm #27288For me, good old-M release stopped being produced when LR set replaced primed miniatures….
Since then, some new M releases that were created are not as good, and much more expensive.
March 6, 2013 at 4:58 pm #27289We may decide with our feet, as we say here in Bree. (Does that translate?)
Busy in here today, isn’t it?
March 6, 2013 at 5:00 pm #27290well that’s precisely what I was saying on the forum… this is definitly not a MV, maybe a MB… though there is no big figure nor scene… and even MB would hardly reach above 60€
Sauron at Gorgoroth did cost 60€ for 3 figurines one of which being 54mm and quite elaborated, along with a very elaborated base.
even if you do 12€x11 (counting that 12€ includes the packaging so it should also count for the main big packaging), that makes 132€ + maybe 10 more euros for the base that would make 142€ RAW price individual… but as logistic stands, making bundles and figurines in “sets” reduce the costs as they can make several pieces and figurines on a single spinning mould which dramatically reduce the costs
well I hope Michael made a mistake and the price is closer to the white council than the unexpected party….. 100€ would be fair I think (not counting shipping costs which will be quite costly for a package this size… don’t forget the weight of those big blue boxes… even empty they weigh a lot.. and that counts a lot for shipping price…)
March 6, 2013 at 5:07 pm #27291hoooooommm … Master Barliman, as far as I know that one was never planned to be released as MS or MX (which both couldn’t be) … it’s more likely that it will be categorized either MV or MB … never meant to be what you call “good-old M-release” which consisted of several single figures referring to a topic or race … huomm … ah, as I’m writing it comes to my mind that somewhen in the past we already had the discussion about if a vignette could be sold in single pieces … hom … it simply cannot be done that way … huoommm …
March 6, 2013 at 5:22 pm #27292huomm … yes indeed, Master Barliman, it has become busy in here … though your business does not seem to be as brisk as the regulars are around here … hom …
March 6, 2013 at 5:26 pm #27293I didn’t mean that it was planned as an MX or MS, Master Tree – only that the way it’s likely to be priced and marketed means that it might just as well have been.
It’ll be interesting to see how it finally ends up being packaged, priced and categorised.
March 6, 2013 at 5:59 pm #27294. . . and mind, that there are more to come. The “arkenstone” whatever won´t be the only release . . .
(good heavens I didn´t buy much MS figures in the past- therefore I can lean back and count my spare coins . . . having a glass of this Islay-liqud stuff)

let’s have a drink, all three, shall we?yves, very very sorry to read this — but as mornedhel wrote, now is the time to show the parents that they’re not alone in spite of the tragedy.
besides, which upcoming figure/vignette are you talking about? something discussed in the fellowship section? haven’t been on the official board in ages.
March 7, 2013 at 10:30 pm #27296I guess the ‘actual‘ price will be announced soon enough then I can decide if have to sell another family heirloom to fund it
.
I suppose that with quality comes price, but I think we are all rightly concerned that the price is going to be prohibitive, what market is MM hoping to ‘tap’ into once the dedicated few have grabbed a set I wonder
Let’s keep the fingers crossed that we get a bit of good news about the price
Milo, late condolences to your friend for the loss of a child, something that every parent must dread.

And now it´s your turn . .March 8, 2013 at 7:22 am #27299Thanks everyone for kind words. True that support to parents (and little brother) is very important…I’m still crying each time I think of it so I prefer to keep my mind busy with work & mithrils instead.
March 8, 2013 at 5:06 pm #27300huoommm … Master Milo, what else to say? … rhuom … such things take their time and I think you’ve decided for doing the right thing at the moment … I unfortunately had to face a situation like that once … huom …
well, I wanted to say this before I place my next entry here, as otherwise that could have been regarded and felt as me, being too much unemotionally … huomm …March 8, 2013 at 5:21 pm #27301Huoommm … as for that other matter, Master Cameosis, that’s alright … huoommm … Master Sam Wise bought us a drink, right? … huoommm … so will I do now and pay for another 4 drinks (not three, as you put it) for I will have to pay a drink for the moderator of these very nice premises who at once, wisely, showed us the door … rhuoomm … though .. rhuomm … Master Troll Lawyer, I did not witness that you also bought us a drink … rhuoomm …

And now it´s your turn . .thank you, meisterschütze — it does look nice — but i’m afraid i won’t be willing to pay that much for it.
