Greeting Mithril friends. My wife and I go on vacation for two week starting today. So that dark corner I like so much here in the Pony may be empty from time to time. I will do my best to check in once in a while, and reveal details of our travels.

Well, this idea of having your own likeness on a Mithril figure is an interesting wheeze (as we say in Bree, though I dobnt that it translates). But it begs the question “What people of Middle-earth do we see ourselves as representing?” Well I for one could certainly be a Dwarf, and I know that one or two of our other regulars could be too. (And yes, before anyone mentions it, I know JRRT doesn’t mention me having a beard, but it’s a long time since he popped into the Pony, and beards grow quite fast, especially when they’re nourished by my wholesome scrumpy).

So, gentlemen, how do you see yourselves?

I was thinking about hobbit with pipe sitting on the log… but actually in final I cannot imagine my face with the hobbit hairstyles …. so I left similar suggestion … Dunedain sitting on stone near by the campfire…
