Good Luck Troy for this great opportunity.
August 22, 2013 at 3:00 pm #28464I am not sure it is ethically correct but anyway good luck.
As for me I will vote with my soul and hearthAugust 23, 2013 at 1:05 pm #28465I just saw the release of Galdor figurine, though I had to write to Michael because it seems there is a mistake :
it is december suggestion, not november (I wonder where the Haradan Musician has gone??) and I don’t think I’m wrong in saying I was the one who submitted it, I don’t remember ddaines submitting it?
August 23, 2013 at 1:58 pm #28466From great ‘Mithril and the Fellowships Chronology’ you keep up-to-date, master Gildor, it is very easy to see that Galdor has been forgotten somewhere or somehow…
Regarding new miniatures, I already sent my order.
MS590 reminds me MS440 Cirdan. I wonder why they both have rolled paper in their hands ?August 23, 2013 at 3:04 pm #28467Huoommm … I just checked … huom … obviously that mistake has already been corrected … it now reads Galdor (Dec 12) suggested by Gildor … rhuoommm … which I can confirm … hom … imagine it would have read read “Gildor” suggested by Galdor … er, that November suggestion was the Haradan musician indeed … hooommm … I’m sure that one is not forgotten … and the fact that the December figure is published before the November figure raises a slight hope in my mind (of which I cannot talk here in public) … rhuoommm …
August 23, 2013 at 3:53 pm #28468I received a mail from Michael , here it is
Quote:oops, It was a mistake. Sorry I will adjust the info. David did submit it in Nov but it did not win, It was originally missed by Chris, and I assumed it was Nov’s winner and just looked to see who suggested it, which was David Daines. I have phoned Chris and the Haradan will be made with a later number, something like MS597 or so.
Thanks for spotting that.August 23, 2013 at 8:35 pm #28469… another example of “good organization”…

My wife and I had a wonderful time in Europe–mostly London and Dublin. Although it was our (belated) honeymoon, we did manage to spend a little time with Chris and Dave Daines. I would have really enjoyed meeting more Mithril friends, but perhaps on another visit to Europe.

I wondered what all the fuss was about, not having logged on for a day or so and seeing my name
. I think more than one of us has submitted a suggestion that didn’t win first time, but may have won when suggested by another (the Three Trolls springs to mind)
.
Tom, good to see you got home safe and sound, I hope the remainder of your travels went okay.
August 25, 2013 at 8:20 am #28481rhuoommm … welcome back here Master Twrich, it feels good to have the man in the dark corner around again … huom
August 25, 2013 at 9:31 pm #2848210:20 .
At this point of time, the Tree posted this, I was still asleep . . . somewhere in the Ent´s house . . . peacefully! Pillowed in smoothy sheets.
I remember to weak up at 11:17. I met his gentle Entwife preparing me a delicious cup of coffee ( such a cup of coffe you only can dream about it, Master Barliman! )
But this is a story to be told somewhere else . . . these days.August 30, 2013 at 4:56 pm #28491Hi Gildor… I hope you have few minutes for one short drink…. I hope all of you are well ! Cheers…
August 30, 2013 at 5:09 pm #28492I always have a minute for one short drink
well we are quite busy but well
August 30, 2013 at 5:56 pm #28493I would imagine Hobbits like short drinks.
September 2, 2013 at 10:31 am #28503Today is 40 years since professor Tolkien died…. but his work will live forever… Cheers, dear friends…..
September 2, 2013 at 12:47 pm #28505A worthy toast to one of the world’s finest. An irascible man, by all accounts, but his creative genius as an author will never be surpassed – who today would be prepared to devote the time and attention necessary to create an entire legendarium the way he did?
The best comment on his remarkable achievement that I’ve ever read says simply: “How, given little over half a century of work, did one man become the creative equivalent of a people?”
September 2, 2013 at 6:15 pm #28508R.I.P. Master Tolkien !
I wonder what he could think about what men have done with his Work … -
