congratulations Milo, but you must still be cautious! While you were collecting OOP 32mm, other recent figurines may soon become OOP too. I hope for you that you already have Halbarad for example. or every MX…
and then, like me, you’ll be able to focus on the 54mm
which makes me think… has any of you ever considered that SOME 54mm LO range could be converted, and transformed so that they could be 32mm scale Maiar, Valar… instead of what they are supposed to be originally? (saruman, galadriel, goldberry, witch-king, celeborn….. Ulmo, Yavana, Melkor, Niena,Oromë)
November 3, 2011 at 5:23 pm #21388Huoommmm … to be honest, Master Gildor, I did never consider that … rhuoommm … nice idea indeed, but to be honest, I think the difference in size would not be appropriate … huoommm … I still think that the LO-range was a very fine one, indeed, and by now it serves old fingers … err, twigs, … better … rhuoommm …
November 3, 2011 at 5:40 pm #21389well we have now two examples in mithril range that shows Sauron as “32mm scale 54mm figurine” (Gorgoroth, and the soon to be released Sammath Naur…
that was only an idea
November 3, 2011 at 5:40 pm #21390I had thought about LO 29 as Morgoth and was going to use an Elf reference as Fingolfin, but as I don’t have LO 29 and used the elf elfwhere () it never happened 😎
November 3, 2011 at 5:55 pm #21393Rhuoommmm … right you are again, my dear Elf … huoommm … just took my ruler to prove about the “bad lad”‘s size at Gorgoroth … with that your idea becomes much more interesting … huom … but have all the “old ones” to be depicted that tall, I wonder? … hommm … imagine our dear Tom Bombadil at such a size among 32mm-figures … huom … anyway, good and new thoughts are always welcomed by me here, Master Gildor … hom …

I do not worry at all as I do not miss any out of production miniature anymore (even unfindable and variants ).
Regarding 54mm, I have already full LO collection.
So only Christmas minis would remain to be found one day…. soon or never as I prefer 32mm scale.Today, I am more attracted by PAM Characters.
November 3, 2011 at 6:06 pm #21398well Theobald, about the old ones you know , I suspect, that there may be one, one day, to see the light of day, and though being 32mm scale vignette…his size will match LO range
Sauron won’t be alone…as for Tom Bombadil, he is like the Istari… he has chosen this body to match the bodies of mortals…. but as “immortals” and their “true fana” as tolkien calls it… since Chris made the standard for his own range as being “54mm in 32mm scale” we could use this standard too…
but as I said, this is just an Idea…

Sauron won’t be alone…
.I do like this riddle very much…😎
November 3, 2011 at 7:32 pm #21402Huoommm … I’m afraid I know what Master Gildor was talking about …. rhuoommm … keeps me shiverring a bit … huom … huomm … though that shiver might just be caused by the time of year … rhuoommm … and as for me, the tree, I also once decided to match my size inside this Pony-Place … though having been struck by the low beams around here for many a days … rhuoommm … just let’s keep on, Master Elf … huoomm … it will be worth it …. rhuoommmm

November 5, 2011 at 8:24 am #21420….. after this another 33% discount will be on the 12-12-12
November 5, 2011 at 11:59 am #21423Huoommm … I just unpacked MS571 and MS572 …. rhuomm … that wine merchant I think is one of the finest ladies The Man has ever sculpted, the details, the necklace, the belt … ahhh … huom … then all those details of the things the nice pony carries …. excellent … hom … find no words to praise this one …. huoommm …. of course, I also like that Ent very much as it also is a wonderful figure … huoommm … look him in the eyes and you clearly see his anger … rhuoomm … tiny details as the helm design of the orc-commander …. yes, it’s the same as it was used once for the Angrenost guard …. hooooooommmmm …. that postwoman saved my day today …. rhuooommmmmmmmmm
November 5, 2011 at 12:01 pm #21424Errr … of course it wasn’t the postwoman …. huoommm … The Man it was ….
November 5, 2011 at 12:51 pm #21425Hopefully postwoman will visit you next week with more to contemplate
November 5, 2011 at 2:10 pm #21427Thingol wrote:….. after this another 33% discount will be on the 12-12-12It actually works out to slightly over 30%, of course, not 33%. But it’s still a very useful discount. I shall have to hope that I can afford to make use of it, because even with that kind of discount most of the figures I want remain prohibitively expensive! I’ll decide on the day.
November 5, 2011 at 2:51 pm #21429mmhh this is not really 33%…
89% of (89% of (89% of 100€)) = 70.49€ which means the reduction is (100-70.49)=29.50% total reduction
This remains quit an opportunity nevertheless… I should order some CH or friends&foes…
November 5, 2011 at 3:27 pm #21432You’re right. Slightly under 30%, not slightly over. But I did work it out in my overcrowded head, so I did pretty well!
November 5, 2011 at 4:46 pm #21436What really is still expensive in this taproom is the drink. When are you going to do some discount too, Master Barliman?
By the way, I’ll buy something in Mithril with that discount ….. It’s the only way to get prices “something” achievable in my pocket …..
November 5, 2011 at 5:34 pm #21438I know what you mean Master Erchamion – regarding Mithril’s prices, that is, not regarding mine! Since you get your virtual drinks in the Pony virtually free, let’s not hear any more complaints.
If I do decide to take Mithril up on their offer, it wll probably be to catch up on some of the older MS releases that I couldn’t afford at the time.
November 5, 2011 at 5:57 pm #21439Huoommm … alas … all is about the coiny-things again, right … huoommm … I have a more serious problem than worry about some virtual prices (which are not the Mithril ones) … huom … today I couldn’t keep from assembling the jars of wine to that wonderful pony … rhuoommm … no, Barliman, the one of MS572 … huom … it cries out for being painted with all those very fine details … huomm … but my problem is about what that most beautiful young lady is holding in her right hand … huom … something to tease the pony to keep walking, meseems …. but what is it …. rhuomm … as I do not know that much about those horse-creatures … it’s not an apple or a lumb of sugar, I’m sure …. huomm … maybe someone around here can help me, please … hom
