Sorry, no drop scones. I dropped them.
March 3, 2012 at 7:45 pm #23349In fact Master Ent, only lunch and dinner are not breaks for me, and as I am a bit hasty, I call these extra “breakfast”
March 3, 2012 at 9:15 pm #23353Happy Birthday, Master Tree!!!
I am sorry to have missed the party. But of course, perhaps it was a good thing if Barli was wearing a tutu!!!
March 4, 2012 at 10:32 am #23359Huuooommm … thank you very much, Master Twrich … no need to feel sorry … huomm … as you might know I dislike haste … rhuoommm … so you were right in time …. huoommm … as for that dance, er, it wasn’t only the tutu, but the combination with them boots that made the dance something very special, so to say …. huoommm … quite a dancer, our Master Barliman, he is … hooommmrhuom …
March 4, 2012 at 10:36 am #23360huoommm … rhûom … dropping drop scones ? … alas, better change your boots, Master Barliman … rhuoommm …
March 7, 2012 at 7:46 pm #23401mmmhh I posted a ‘question for Chris” on the official board here :
http://mithrilfigures.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=july2005&thread=1142&page=1but I don’t think Michael will like it, and Chris would certainly refuse answering it officially… If you think it is a bad idea to ask… please tell me, and I will remove it… But I think many customers would be interested in the answer :
For those who don’t have access to the GF forum here is the question :
“What’s your opinion about Mithril politics of releases considering some of your work has been taking dust on factory shelves, sometimes for almost a year if not more”March 7, 2012 at 8:05 pm #23402I agree that it’s a question Chris wouldn’t answer in public, in which case what does asking it on the Mithril website achieve? It may generate rancour and ill-feeling towards you. It’s a good question, but I suspect we already know the answer. If you want a quiet life I’d recommend you remove it. But these are only my own thoughts, of course.
March 7, 2012 at 8:21 pm #23403mmhh maybe you are right indeed….
removed

“What’s your opinion about Mithril politics of releases considering some of your work has been taking dust on factory shelves, sometimes for almost a year if not more”I think you have probably answered your own question Gildor
, but I wouldn’t remove it unless Chris asks you to – M may not like the question, but it is pertinent.
March 7, 2012 at 9:30 pm #23405maybe someone else should ask, as gildor wouldn’t be in the line of fire all the time.
March 8, 2012 at 12:18 am #23406Well, Gildor, I must say that I do like that question.
Being some kind of “ofense” ( I don´t know another word, but I do not take it into a “bad” contense)
is the right way to “wake” up people. In my last case it lead to that Master Q. quit. But it ain´t a bad decision . . . not at all . . .
So polarizing – let´s call it this way- often lead to emotional- so to say- clear answers . . .
I hope you see what i mean . . .
Go ahead! I wouldn´t remove it AT ALL !!!!And I agree to Master Cameo-sis, someone else should ask- otherwise you have to wait for the next release couple of weeks again . . .
March 8, 2012 at 7:56 am #23407I also think someone else who’s keen to see the question asked should ask it themselves. Christophe has enough problems with Mithril as it is! …. though I still don’t think anything will be achieved by it.
March 8, 2012 at 9:11 am #23408To my opinion, your question is good, but it’s a question for aware fans (up to fanatics ?). And I am sure the man could not answer to it on the forum.
So I would ask him in private if not already done.Of course, I understand someone’s frustation knowing some sculpts are not visible. So like Imisel did, I would recommend to try to remain neutral in questions.
Afterall, what Michael proposes is to be involved in an interview of The mithril sculptor’s . This could be very nice topic, if answers were “alive” on the forum….
March 8, 2012 at 9:17 am #23409… it was correct question, but it is better to have it removed…. and send it to Chris privately…. but I’m sure that Chris has no idea about the answer…. Mithril must use the word “mysticism” instead of word “politics” in their public presentations…
March 8, 2012 at 11:48 am #23410I already know the unofficial answer Milo, as we discussed this in private already with the man but that’s not something he would answer to publicly if not asked …
still I doubt he would accept to answer it publicly at all as it would create problems between him and mithril…
the question is good but as you point out…. it should be another than myself who should ask it…. my background with both Mithril and Chris would make it too odd and I will be addressed by Michael (or even Chris) as a troublemaker for asking again considering my past “actions” among the “official mithril community” (not mmp)
so if someone is willing to ask it, or rephrase it so it is more politically correct
please go on
March 8, 2012 at 3:58 pm #23414Huuooommmm … er … to me that’s silly to ask such a question, whoever might put it … huom … first, it will not be accepted or passed on (mind that in this case, as in many others, both sides have to agree about the questions being put and answered) … hom … second, I cannot imagine that there would be given an answer by The Man in public and especially not on the official website (or in newsletters) of the company … hom … third, putting the question, I think, will only cause trouble and discomfort among all who are implied … huom … see, there’s not very much sense in putting that question , I think … rhuoomm … as for an answer to that question, I also would be very much interested in it, of course, as it is an interesting question indeed … huom …
but I am convinced you cannot get the answer that way … rhuooommmm …March 8, 2012 at 4:38 pm #23417I’m sure there is a way to make the point by changing the style of the question in something more correct…
such as “mithril has been producing several retail figurines a year, sometimes several sets and only one fellowship figurine once a year at best… not the tendancy has reversed and twelve fellowship a year as opposed to less than 10 retail figurines a year . what is your opinion about this change for Mithril ?
that’s more neutral and fine I think
March 8, 2012 at 4:54 pm #23418Huoommm … yes, of course it is, Master Gildor … though … in fact, the question is the same, isn’t it … huom …
March 8, 2012 at 7:42 pm #23419true but with some more “tact”
March 13, 2012 at 3:43 pm #23437Huuooommm … ? …. huuôôômmm? … hom?hom? …………………. hmmm …
[ soliloquy]
… well, it means some work to get rid of all those spidery webs around here in this abandoned place, Master Tree … huoomm … it really is … hom … why not take a rest and rinse a bowl and fill it with some of that clear-clean-honey-couloured liquid-thing … huuoommm … worst thing to happen to a slightly talkative tree … no one’s around … rhuoom … er, maybe they avoid this nice place because they know I’m around … rhuom … well, Master Tree, let’s just finish this bowl and then take them dirty but good-old wargskins outside to give the a very nice scrub in the backyard … huoommm … one should do that when springtime comes … rhuoommmm … let’s get to it …
