huom ? … er, sorry, did I miss anything of some importance here ? … hmm … spiders, old tabs and taps, never properly being cleaned for months or even years … alas, bitten-off rat-tails among the rotten smelly rush at the floor … gruôm … Nob being on holiday for many a years by now … rhooom … and then them lousy biting warg-skin-door mats not cared for or not even having been witnessed by people trodding in here wiping their boots and then having access to Master Barliman’s Pony accordingly. decades from now meseems… huoooommmm …. I have to admit that I never thought of providing a foot-brush for Hobbits at the entrance, huôm … though by the way they get along with the wargskins very well meseems… huom …
April 20, 2017 at 6:35 am #35848You and your diatribe are welcome, Master Tree, as ever. Certainly if you see that ne’er-do-well rapscallion Nob I’d be grateful if you steered him in this direction. This room certainly needs “mucking out”.
April 25, 2017 at 3:50 pm #35858Having seen the latest Fellowship newsletter, I note – with a degree of disappointment, nay, frustration – that the rendition of Bombur depicted in MZ637 ‘Bombur at the Battle of Five Armies’ is still not especially fat. He’s once again pleasantly rotund rather than clinically obese. I wonder why Chris doesn’t make his “fat” figures (Forlong and Bombur both come to mind) really fat? Perhaps it would be “politically incorrect”, as such things tend to be considered these days!
April 25, 2017 at 5:44 pm #35859I noticed the same Master Barliman. I see no shame in our good friend Bombur’s wide girth as I’m sure neither does he. Of course if I myself don’t start taking long walks around the Shire I may end up being as wide as I am tall!!

April 25, 2017 at 6:04 pm #35861That would explain it, I guess.
April 25, 2017 at 8:50 pm #35865Well, you can give fat another label, but it doesn’t make fat slim…
April 25, 2017 at 10:17 pm #35870huuoooommm … again I am of the same opinion about this matter, Master Barliman … hruomgrom … by now there are three Bombur and two Forlong figures … hm huom … none of those five is fat … huommm …
er … by the way, did you realize that yesterday I pushed your mounted ranger into the second round? … huoommm?April 26, 2017 at 3:25 pm #35875The Ent has spoken!
April 26, 2017 at 3:25 pm #35876I was wondering who it was. However, I’ve done the “right thing” and voted for the Elven boat, since my Grey Company guy didn’t really have any hope of winning in the face of such strong opposition. The Dunedan will rear his head again at some more opportune time.
April 30, 2017 at 7:12 pm #35892Hello? Anybody in here? oh well, guess I’ll just sit at my table in the dark corner and wait for friends to trick in.
Ouch!! Damn Wargskin rug just nipped my heel! guess I better talk to the Tree about these guys. Maybe next time I’ll bring a lawn rake to even out their matted fur–no wonder they are so ornery!
April 30, 2017 at 7:43 pm #35895Those rugs worry me. I’m sure they creep about at night and gnaw the chair-legs – that or I’m getting shorter each time I sit down.
April 30, 2017 at 9:11 pm #35898seems like I could use some drink
i’m not here often enough alas I too begin to grow quite unhappy with how mithril is going with those new releases and 3D… not to mention my unhappiness with the soon-to-be-released Aragorn mounted at the black gate not really as I had envisionned him but nevermind…
April 30, 2017 at 9:27 pm #35900All we can ever do is hope for the best in this best of all possible worlds, to paraphrase one of your countrymen, Master Elf.
I’m not ready to pass judgment on the MZ figures yet (though I’m perplexed why the system can so far only produce square-section bowstaves…). I haven’t seen any pictures of the Aragorn figure yet. Have I not been paying attention?

May 1, 2017 at 6:01 am #35905Hi everyone, it’s time for brealfast today.
I will join the man in the dark for rugs hereby are sometimes eating my meals even faster than any hobbit…wait a minute, no, this could be me?
Bon appétit !May 1, 2017 at 8:53 am #35908well there is no official picture yet, and it was a 3D master, not a final cast.
I was provided one by the Man as it was my winning suggestion, but while I had specifically detailed how the horse should look (with low bent rear legs, ready to “roar”…) , well it is … yet another usual walking horse with raised upper leg… the pose of Aragorn is ok but the basic horse posture makes it loose all the emphasis…I’m not to display it yet but well… it is not as heroic as I thought it would be…
May 1, 2017 at 10:22 am #35910huoomm … hey, could you please first listen to each other before you start talking about five different matters at the same time … rhûom … give me a minute to cope with them wargskins … hooomm … dead they are as you all should know … that’s why they’re called skins and not kins … huom …

The picture was posted by Michael O’Brien, but can’t for the life of me remember where though – it may have been tagged on a newsletter. While not an ‘action’ pose it will be interesting to see how it fits in with the ‘Mouth of Sauron’ figure (this is my personal interest and intention with this release).
If I am honest I like the figure (for the purpose that I would use it for), but I am wondering why CT still feels the need to have this ‘wedge’ between the reins and horses neck – this has been a personal gripe with just about every horse (with reins) that has been produced as it causes unnecessary work to remove it.
May 1, 2017 at 11:58 am #35912huoomm … there are official pictures of that Aragorn mounted published as a preview in the newsletter 18.04.2017… rhûom …
I still do not like those shots, declared as pictures, as they do not reveil the figures as they are after the production … huooooOOmm … I even hate that “oily-smeary” optical appearance … just wait until they’re primed … huom … in case the primer still sticks better to the metal than to your hands … hom … or when assembling and having to add parts which are not primed at all from sprues (see, Master Barliman, I’m still learning) to the figures and which leaves you to “prime” the figures all over again … alas … grrrrrRuômm … that is …
indeed, Master Ddaines, that wastefulness of metal between reigns and neck of the CT-horses always has been annoying to many people whose comments about this matter I still can recall very well … hom … though it never touched CT … as far as I know … homtidommdedomm … -
