Damn. Just wrote a long email and then accidentally deleted it. Points it made were

      1. Found the email and therefore the picture – don’t know how I missed it.
      2. Aragorn’s horse looks overweight, as if it hasn’t been exercised reglularly.
      3. Aragorn’s pose looks fine, but the horse is rather static, like Master Gildor says.
      4. Agree with the Tree that the latest phoso from Mithril do look rather “oily”. (Can anyone tell me what causes this?)

Glad you’re still learning, Master Theobald. Aren’t we all?

At a guess I would say they have this look because they are screen shots (maybe) of what the piece will look like – I also collect larger scale figures and a lot of ‘sculptors’ appear to have taken the digital route and their W.I.P. shots appear to have the same look to them.

I may have deleted the email with the image attached so can’t comment on the ‘Forlong’ look to the horse ;).

Re the rein issue, I did speak to CT at SALUTE when Mithril did the ‘freebies’ and PA attended, but while CT didn’t feel separate reins were feasible, no reason (that I can remember) was given about the ‘wedge’.

Huoomm … Master Ddaines, that’s why I chose the word “shot” in my last entry as you also did and then I didn’t call it a picture being taken from a real piece of metal-thing … huôm … screen shot that is called, as far as I know … homtidoom

            as for the pic:

Well … Master Turambar, have you not been aware of the fact that them Hobbits can always surprise you … rhuôm … that’s why Master Tolkien mentioned them in some of his books … hmm? … or am I wrong now? … do you also know about all the other premises Master Milo keeps ? … huom

My oppinion abour Aragon… Aragorn as a rider is really great. The horse is quite common….Propet horse or horse in the gallop would be much better Horse…

Any way I think also the Easterling shaman beating in war drum is very good… It was my suggestion and I like it !

I raise my glass to you and say a small thank you to Elbereth for all your efforts to help me in my journey through this wonderful hobby we all share. I am very thankful to have found this gathering site and the information and friendly denizens I have discovered here.
