I have serious thoughts towards the “Arkenstone” vignette . . .
August 15, 2014 at 9:17 am #31105Does anyone have maybe a spare horse for [mith]M30[/mith]….. for 30% discount
My copy’s yesterday suffered a breakdown under the hand of my daughter….
August 15, 2014 at 10:27 am #31106HA !!!!!!
Exactly yesterday I HAVE TO recognize, that my re-build Rohan diorama shows AGAIN ( 馃槨 馃槨 ) the same problematic concerning legs!
Though I left the sprues on the legs it do happen AGAIN !!!!! M30 and M4.
I try to bend it back- VERY VERY carefully indeed- of course and it broke.Maybe I should throw it out of the window . . . 馃槨 馃槨 馃槨
August 15, 2014 at 1:50 pm #31107huoommm … the stability of the horses of the old M-Rohan series always has been a problem to me … rh没om … just some weeks ago the horse of the M30 (standard bearer) started to bend though all sprews are still at it and it was never used, except for display in one of my glass cabinets ….. gggrrrr没oooommm … in the last years I have become used to re-stabilize those horses’ feet from time to time … huom … such matters sometimes keep you busy, right?
Sorry, Master Thingol, I wish I could help, but I can’t … huoommm …
August 15, 2014 at 2:06 pm #31108Your Breeish is excellent as ever, Master Tree, but the word is spelt “sprues”, not “sprews” – er, though that is indeed how it’s pronounced. So why “screws” isn’t spelt “scrues” I have no idea… (Ah, the joyful idionsyncrasies of Westron, which were invented to confuse us.)

August 15, 2014 at 4:36 pm #31111Wonderful language, isn’t it? So straightforward.
August 15, 2014 at 5:00 pm #31112huoomm … language is limited and besides that mind please that I am not a native speaker of the Breeish tongue as I’m a tree, Master Barliman … huommm … I wonder how you would cope with our Treeish tongue … huomrh没omm-toppelidom-gru0Omm . hom … harom, klappediklopp … arrh没mtidoom … hom?
nevertheless, what does it mean when there are sprews between small-miniature-horses’legs … ? … and what exactly are they? … do they harm or just are meant to be unnoticed and then better not touched? …. huoommm … I think sprews are as strange as scrues, as far as I know … rhu么m … all I know of is that both are plural … huom …alas, Master Barliman, would you mind me offering you a drink while you fill my bowl with that liquid I really do prefer? …huom … yes, of course, some coiny-things I still do have …. rhuomm ….. er … ? may I ask you a question, please?
…. ah, yes, looks good, just top it up, please …. rhuom …
I always wanted to ask you why on this Prancing-Pony-Board it reads “have a seat” instead of “take a seat” … rhuoomm …August 15, 2014 at 5:08 pm #31113…. oh, Master Ddaines is around too, another expert of Breeish … huoomm … Master Barliman, would you please fill a pint for Master Ddaines, please … rhuoomm … yes, it’s on me, of course … hooommm … I too like languages with a lot of varieties of spelling and pronouncing … huoomm .. it’s always fun … huom … cheers …

And for the record, Master Tree, it’s because your Breeish/Westron is so good that I can’t help but try to improve it further. (There will be examinations at the end of the year, so pay attention.)
August 15, 2014 at 8:06 pm #31115huoommm …. good explanation for the missing seats in the Pony … humo … I do understand that well … hU掳ommm … examinations … the Ent of the year? … huommm … very promising that is … hooommm … though I’m afraid it all will just turn down to me carrying all them tinsel-stuff again and be silent for about a week … alas … poor me tree … huomm … such is life
August 15, 2014 at 8:08 pm #31116You’re getting too wise to my duplicitous ways, Master Tree.
August 17, 2014 at 7:57 pm #31119just a suggestion — slightly heat up the parts you want to bend with a hair dryer, before you bend them, that way they are less likely to break.
a round for all benders on me!
August 17, 2014 at 11:22 pm #31120huomm … might be a good idea, Master Cameosis … huom … I’ll try next time if ever that problem occurs again … huom … thanks for the drinky-thing … hom

August 20, 2014 at 7:00 am #31126A strong hot coffee Master Barliman (and you may add some Whisk(e)y)
Winter is early this year, only 6 C this morning…August 20, 2014 at 7:11 am #31127Certainly is chilly this morning – I’ve had my winter jerkin on since I got out of bed, and I don’t feel warm yet. I’ll join you in a whiskey (whisky? we don’t sell that feeble stuff here) – but purely for medicinal reasons, you understand.
August 20, 2014 at 8:21 am #31128I will defenetly join you with this kind of drink, Master Barli. Though I do feel quiete the same this “autumn” morning . . .
August 24, 2014 at 6:12 am #31134I see the Master Caster lounging about–join me for an ale and a pipe! Master Barli, here are a few “coiny things” to fill our mugs!
August 24, 2014 at 6:54 am #31135Rather than filling your mug with coiny things, I’ll pour you some scrumpy. I haven’t got a mug big enough for the troll so he’ll either have to go without or must go down to the cellar and bring up a barrel for himself.
