Huoommm … Master Mornedhel, I saw the pictures you once provided of the stockrooms in Macroon … alas … I exactly can imagine what you mean … huoommm …
January 8, 2015 at 9:48 pm #31984huoomm … er well, I do remember well Master Barliman … huom … that was the incomplete-half-and-badly-painted one you once won as a riddle-master some years ago… wasn’t it? … huom … though I don’t know of any more … rhuomm … good riddle that was, wasn’t it … hruom … so what about me bowl now? …
January 8, 2015 at 9:50 pm #31985That was the one. Just my luck to win something and then “lose” it again. “Sod’s law” as we say in Bree.
January 8, 2015 at 10:08 pm #31986huoomm Master Barkeep … just don’t become sad or annoyed, it simply was a poor-cared-of miniature before you received it … huoom … huom …anyway, good old days those were , weren’t they… huoomm …
January 9, 2015 at 10:09 am #31987the rarity and price for the 1993 Isildur even if Mithril is currently selling it is very temporary, I doubt stocks are endless.
I was wondering if I should buy one actually.. I already have one, but mine is the real gift one, I mean, it is gray undercoated, not antique finished… (same as [mith]Chr1990[/mith] Eowyn or [mith]Chr1992[/mith] Galadriel)
as my purse does not currently allow it, I think I’ll have to pass…
edit : well finally bought one, with this system of advantage points i only paid for shipping… that feels strange to buy a 1993 isildur for free oO
January 9, 2015 at 12:38 pm #31988huoomm … the reference to those Chr1990 and Chr1992 concerning the grey coating is absolutely correct, Master Gildor … hom
January 9, 2015 at 2:35 pm #31989My Chr1991, Chr1992 & Chr1993 have all 3 antique finish, no grey primer. As per Master Theobald’s Chr1989 if I remember well.
Still, I bought one Chr1993.January 9, 2015 at 3:13 pm #31990huoomm … Master Milo, I did not want to confuse anybody around here once again …. rhuom … right that my EowynChr has antique finish as does good-old-Chr1989, though it’s a bit worn … huom … Chr-Galadriel (not to be mixed up with the MA1 – there’s a different base) is covered with the same grey primer as my Chr-Isildur, which was a gift as Master Gildor pointed out …. huoooommm … that’s why I also ordered one of those Imrahils … huom … I always thought the one I have was the original Chr-figure … rhĂ»mhoomm … so now there’ll soon be two Chr-Isildurs at my top shelf … hooomm … anyway, I should once again have a closer look at them … huoomm … but time is limited and I really cannot haste … as I’m growing older and there are no leaves left on me branches, twigs and boughs … huoommm ….
indeed, Master Milo, you recall my Chr1989 very well and so do I … huoommmdadooodommm …
January 9, 2015 at 4:41 pm #31991… huom .. Isildur that was … sorry, not Imrahil … this tree’s getting older year by year … huom …
January 9, 2015 at 5:22 pm #31992huomm … as for the other, more serious “matter”, I at least found words … hm .. yes, Master Barliman, you were right quoting
Voltaire by the way … huom … but according to my strange name here (It is Theobald Tiger or Peter Panter, who knows). I just re-read the short essay by Kurt Tucholsky about satire again (he then chose the Name of Ignaz Wrobel in 1919) … it is about satire and what should be allowed to it … huoomm … let me just quote the final statement:Was darf die Satire?
Alles.January 11, 2015 at 7:55 pm #32012Hello Nino and Mornedhel! Nice to see you in the Pony. Come, join me here in my dark corner table by the fireplace for a drink and a bit of pipe weed!!
Barli? Nob? Perhaps we must help ourselves. I’ll leave the “coiny things” on the bar!
January 11, 2015 at 7:55 pm #32013Hi Tom.. master from the dark corner of the inn…. can I buy you a drink… I did not meet you recently…. and yes… soon I will have a small envelope for you
January 11, 2015 at 8:05 pm #32017Hi Nino, you can buy me the next round, after we drink the ones in front of us
January 11, 2015 at 8:57 pm #32018It always amazes me that you fellows think I’m not here half the time. I always keep a watch on what’s going on. You mean you’ve never noticed that the eyes of that painting of great-uncle Bagthorn Butterbur over the fireplace follow you as you go round the room?
January 11, 2015 at 11:02 pm #32020huoomm … I do know, Master Barliman as sometimes I also was alone in here … rhuommm … cleaning up and suchlike things … nobody mattered about me then … huoom … you’re right, that good-old picture of that great-uncle over the fireplace . huommm … old Bagthtorn Butterworth, it is indeed … huom … I always wondered why he still has them blinking eyes … houm … alas, when winter’s off I’ll immediately paint them eyes over, so that they don’t annoy you any more … huommm …
might take time … alas …January 19, 2015 at 6:01 pm #32066Hi Master Sam wise, it’s been a long time we did not see you around. May I offer you a drink ?
Master Barliman, 2 pint of your best ale please !January 19, 2015 at 9:41 pm #32071Huoommm … 2 pints of best ale for one small Hobbit? …. rhuom … as there has been no Master Sam around here, Master Milo, could the second one be for me before it becomes stale, please … ? … huooommmm …. off it is … huom …
January 20, 2015 at 7:16 am #32074Of course Master ent. It seems Sam had more important mattrrs in his garen.
January 21, 2015 at 7:01 am #32089Hi Master Barliman. Did you see Nob? I must teach him GNSS. You can take sit also while I eat my breakfast. By the way, did I ask for one?

Gildor Inglorion wrote:in french, it’s GPSSorry master Elf, as I’m GNSS engineer, I feel I shall clarify a little.
It’s true I ofen hear use “GPS” term in France but it is what we call here “abus de langage”.It is restrictive, when you know that several GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) systems exist.
– GPS is the american GNSS system used worldwide.
– GLONASS is the russian GNSS system used worldwide.
– There should be very soon GALILEO european GNSS systemThere exist also regional systems such as:
– chineese BEIDU which tends to become chineese COMPASS GNSS system in the future,
– indian IRNSSThese systems are used by GNSS receivers for providing your position on earth.
In your cars for instance, you need GNSS receiver + a geographical software used to plot your position and show it on the map in near real-time. This is the kind of device mentionned by Master Barliman as “satnav”.I hope I’m not too boring with all this.
Let’s come back to breakfast now ! -
