Maybe because of marketing/revenue/colecctionism issues… same reasoning on why some “limited” products sell more or at least faster than “normal” products?
Just wondering myself that.:rolleyes:By the way, I did not knew them and they look GREAT!!
March 7, 2015 at 7:18 pm #32329I bought one of their windmills a couple of years ago, and it’s perfect. When I went to order a coaching inn a short while later it was no longer available. Moral being, if you see something worth having, buy it immediately. Later is often too late.
March 7, 2015 at 10:44 pm #32330Huom … thank you Master Ddaines for the link … huoom … indeed after having had a look I now remember well … hm … excellent pieces for a diorama those were … huoomm … and yes, Master Thingol mentioned them once around here …
March 8, 2015 at 1:05 pm #32331Huom … so now Master O’Brien confirmed that there will be no new Mithril releases in the near future … rhuomm … at least that saves some coiny-things at the moment … hom … so there’s time to stroll a bit around in the garden in the sun … huom … maybe this evening time for a wee bowl of honey-coloured liquid here … huomtidommm
March 8, 2015 at 1:25 pm #32332If you want to stroll in the Pony’s garden you’ll need to be in the shelter of the wall. There’s a bitter wind from the north at the moment.

I’ll post a picture here as this is where I have raised the subject. This is a work in progress with colours just blocked in. I’m still working on the wooden batons (getting bored!! ).
If I stick to my original plans this will be a box diorama with the interior of The Pony and one other scene (probably Ringwraith attack on the room) below.
The ground will slope away from The Pony and I will try and hide the scenic backdrop with some trees which will be on the lower slopes of Bree Hill. Annoyingly, I have had for many years a small Inn sign which I painted ready to attach, but damned if I can find it!!!
I am going to have to use some artistic licence – The Pony will not be exactly as described by Prof. T, but I have added an extra floor level.
Figures in most cases are not complete and are not in their final positions; I think there are nearer 40 figures, two are PA figures sculpted by CT.
I may not get this finished in time for the April 1 deadline, but it will be an achievement just to get it finished and paint another load of figures! .
Below shows the conversion work on The Pony.

March 8, 2015 at 4:04 pm #32334Excellent work as ever, Master Dave.
March 8, 2015 at 4:51 pm #32335Hoooomm, that’s an absolutely great concept, Master Ddaines … huom … the Pony-extension is a very good idea … unfortunately I cannot see any details in the first pic, but your short description of your plans sound marvellous … huommm … and there will be trees in the diorama in the end? … huôômm … I very much appreciate that idea … hom …
Just keep on, Master Ddaines, and please do not forget to show us some pictures once everything is finished … hmmm?March 8, 2015 at 5:11 pm #32336Great work converting the building !
March 9, 2015 at 5:21 am #32337Awesome Dave–can’t wait to see detailed pictures!! Thanks Master Tree for trying not to be too loud, but I wasn’t sleeping . . . I was just resting my eyes
March 9, 2015 at 7:54 am #32338Hats off to Master Dave!
A lot of work and looking great already.March 9, 2015 at 10:04 am #32339Hi Barliman, is it still time for breakfast or shall I order Lunch.

March 15, 2015 at 12:38 am #32345Huoommm … another week has nearly passed by now and still nothing’s going on in the Pony … rhuom … no new offers of local brandy-new liquids … huom … the menue hasn’t been improved for years … hm … seems to be the same disease which fell on a small town in Macroom across the water westwards … huoomm … anyway, I just dusted my bowl from those spider-webs, Master Barliman, so would you please fill in some clear-clean water so that I can clean the bowl appropriately … huoommm ?
March 15, 2015 at 8:02 am #32346It’s certainly very quiet – which is hardly surprising when there’s nothing new to talk about. Mind you, it’s allowed us time to get the garden sorted out a little ready for the spring. As soon as it’s a bit warmer I’ll put chairs and tables in the yard outside so that people can sit in the sun. At the moment, however, the wind is rather too cold.
March 15, 2015 at 11:32 am #32347Been busy on the Leaving Bree ‘Pony’ scene – putting down a layer of air drying clay that don’t crack as it dries – well that’s what it said on the packet!!!!!!! .
Will see how many more cracks have appeared when I get home tonight .
Meanwhile, off on a visit.
March 15, 2015 at 11:48 am #32348Let’s hope the blurb is true!

On my side, I feel I shall never have webs in my bowl as we Hobbits never forget when it’s time to eat & drink. 😆By the way, I have been taking care of wife & kids, house, garden, job for past weeks. Now I need to get back on Mithrils
March 18, 2015 at 8:59 am #32365Hi master Barliman,
I heard the tree is around. Could you ask master Ent to come and share a bowl while I am having 3rd breakfast ?
