I shall buy from here in future then

This is the reason for me, not contacting The Man anymore at all . . .

It’s very frustrating when you want to discuss a bit a won proposition. Last year I got answers within a week and now … just nothing
April 15, 2015 at 7:43 am #32475. . . some call it frustrating . . . some call it unpolite . . . but in the end: who cares?

Changing the topic a bit, I do like Mithril Ents. Overall look has te right feel and height is spot on. Treebeard is said to be at least 14 feet (4 metres) tall and assuming a true 25mm miniature would be 1.50 meters tall in real life (so Mithril’s scale of 32 mm would be 1.80 meters), Treebeard miniature should be 66 mm tall.. and that’s what he is!
But I think they’d need to be more “tree-like” (meaning their bodies should resemble proportions of different kinds of tree) and Treebeard’s feet had seven toes (yep, it’s in the book).
Quote:The Ents were as different from one another as trees from trees: some as different as one tree is from another of the same name but quite different growth and history; and some as different as one tree-kind from another, as birch from beech; oak from fir. There were a few older Ents, bearded and gnarled like hale but ancient trees (though none looked as ancient as Treebeard); and there were tall strong Ents, clean-limbed and smooth-skinned like forest-trees in their prime; but there were no young Ents, no saplings.April 15, 2015 at 8:58 am #32477We won’t mention the pint-sized Huorn ‘shrub’ in the MS range…

+1 to arthadan
Excellent modifications Turambar, great lichens and ivy additions!! I love mithril ents, but they are a bit “inorganic” and flat. When I paint them only thing I did is gave them different tones of brown to signify different species. Those differences could have come with the sculpt, I have seen now 15mm miniatures with more details. xD
April 15, 2015 at 2:38 pm #32480Huoommmm … you know that I like this excellent version of the “trumpeting Ent” very much, Master Turambar, especially as once I saw the figure in real … huom … no picture can show all the details and painting skills … huom … simply marvellous it is, and I don’t say this only because I like Ents very much … huom

I’m sure Chris have many reasons for this quiet time in his life… please guys you should know that he has his life with or without this small figures. Like we have. Even if he would not made any figure anymore he already maded many great moments in our lives with those LOTR miniatures. So…. He lives in this moment in his private moments right now and I’m sure that he’s not happy with PA factory productions.. but in final he can not made decisions about this. I know that every christmas I receive gift for my little daughter from him, and he is very kind and generous person. I hope he is well and he will send us new figures soon…..
April 15, 2015 at 8:22 pm #32482And about Master archer’s Ent…. beautiful… like all his small dioramas… nothing more to say about it…
April 15, 2015 at 8:25 pm #32483Cheers with beer… to all…. if it is possible to order something… thanks in advance…. I have some coins to spent…please
April 15, 2015 at 9:36 pm #32485huoomm … thank you, Master Thingol, for those good words about contacting Master Tubb … huom … as I exactly feel the same about that matter … rhûom … thanks for the liquid anyway … hom
April 16, 2015 at 8:14 am #32487Thnaks for the drink Master Elf. Did you visit dwarves caves for having so many coiny things ?
By the way, I just notice MMP is lacking dawrf fellows…I wonder why ?April 16, 2015 at 8:20 am #32488It’s lacking dwarf fellows too.
April 17, 2015 at 8:04 am #32490Master Archer, that Ent is a work of wonder!
I’ve saved the image to use it as inspiration when I get to work on mine. The small branches and the lichens make it come to live.April 17, 2015 at 1:32 pm #32491On another subject, it’s nice to see Forlong in the latest Fellowhip newsletter. Looks to be a very nice figure indeed – just the way I’d imagined him.
April 17, 2015 at 3:07 pm #32492huoommm … I think the “old” mounted Forlong is a great figure, except the fact that he’s too slim and his horse should better be more like a shire horse … huom … anyway, we’ll see soon what the version on foot is like … rhûm … I always dislike those thumb-nail-sized-pictures by The Man as they always only give you an extremely rough idea about a figure … huom …
April 17, 2015 at 3:49 pm #32493True. And I agree re the mounted version, who appears to have been dieting vigorously. But I certainly like the pose of the new foot version. (Did we ever see the eventually abandoned MkI version of this fellow? If we did, I can’t remember him.)
April 17, 2015 at 5:59 pm #32494huooomm … it’s the first pic of this figure provided as far as I know and Master O’Brien provided a pic of the sculpted figure taken by The Man himself (you can tell right away because of the size and black and white “colour”) … gruôm … I’m sure we’ll never see any pics of an abandoned version, if there ever was one … huom … why should we? … what for? … rhuom …
