May I ask if you have any pictures to show us in Real Life section?Master Archer had the camera Milo, but as they are still on holiday until next weekend…….
September 24, 2015 at 5:25 pm #33090huooommm … there still is nothing much on around here … huom … no new tiny-metal-things one could talk about being newly released … rhuom … I have to admit that my annoyance has been slowly but steadily increasing for quite some time … grruôm
… this year I will definitely not remind them of a Christmas-figure to be put into consideration for 2015, as I did one year or the other … huuOom … they wouldn’t be able to manage such a “new” challenge, I’m sure …. huom … maybe a certain part of the company already has decided and turned to start a new business in refurbishing and decorating old houses and rooms … huom … who knows …Master Barliman, I need a good drink to calm down a bit … huom … no matter what liquid, but it has to be very good, please …huooOOOmmmrgûommm …
September 24, 2015 at 6:23 pm #33091“Same old same old”, as we say here in Bree.
September 24, 2015 at 8:59 pm #33092huommm … thank you very much indeed … one more, please … rhuomm
September 24, 2015 at 9:02 pm #33093I’ll join you, I think. I seem to be working later this evening than I intended.
September 25, 2015 at 6:18 am #33094Hi Masters, I will join for a bowl of water, without breakfast.
About new release, I posted on GF forum my thoughts to Michael. He seems to say CT is not active enough…It worries me. Any news on this side ?
About MMP, Master orc & Maenas have initiated a mithril painting league (Read the art gallery). I suggest you join us, for fun & friendship of course:D.
September 25, 2015 at 1:58 pm #33096Hey Barli I would like a scrumpy! And if you don’t mind I may come a little bit later and stick a little poster about this new Painte’s league, so everyone can read it! ^^
September 25, 2015 at 2:31 pm #33097Fine by me. The league is a nice idea, though I doubt I shall participate. I’m not a diorama or single-figure painter, and I never (or at least, have never yet) put my painted figures up for general perusal. For one thing I’m not especially good! For another, I paint figures purely for my own enjoyment.
September 26, 2015 at 6:10 pm #33100Oh Barli, that will be a gigantic pity! it does not matter if you feel you don’t paint very good, you can improve if you desire so. Feel free to come by, comment and ask even if you don’t post a mini you can participate too ^^
September 26, 2015 at 8:15 pm #33102Don’t get me wrong – I do a lot of painting, but I’m happy with my figures as being perfectly acceptable for my own purposes. Doubtless I could improve, if I had the time. I’m sure we all could, if real life didn’t constantly interfere! But the other issue is that actually I don’t paint many Mithrils – of the 5,000 or so LOTR figures I’ve painted, only about 300 are Mithrils (mostly Isengard half-orcs, orcs, and sundry officers and “characters”).
My (incomplete) Mithril collection remains largely unpainted. The majority of my painted figures come from about two dozen assorted companies. Right now, in fact, I’m not painting any Mithrils at all, but mostly old Mark Coplestone half-orcs, Harlequin Easterlings, Foundry Vikings (used as Woodmen) and unarmoured Late Romans by various manufactures that I’m using as Gondorian provincial troops.
September 26, 2015 at 9:20 pm #33103huoommm … ah, that’s it, Master Barliman … hooom … I should have known … whenever you were absent and later talked about just having had a nap you were painting some tiny figures somewhere upstairs … hom … that’s good, better do this than dusting the bar (or even wargskins) or polishing glasses … huoomm …
September 26, 2015 at 9:25 pm #33104When I have you doing these things for me, Master Tree, I don’t need to worry!

I also use historical armies painted/modified to ME for my tabletop gaming.
I created moulds from Mithril shields to cast additional one in resin.I use mainly 12-13th Norman for Arthedan and a mix of vickings for Rohan
Maybe we have to open athread to discuss further this topic?
September 27, 2015 at 9:43 am #33106and it’s timeto share “Aperitif” as the sun is back
September 28, 2015 at 7:03 pm #33116…. which figures you use to convert the Rohan warriors Master Mornedhel. From which manufacturer….thanks for answer and cheers !!!

Maybe we have to open athread to discuss further this topic?Well, I would have no objections if you wished to start such a thread, Master Mornedhel, but I’m uncertain how our Elf leaseholder would feel. I seem to recall he has concerns about wargaming receiving too high a profile on this site (because of a certain other manufacturer…).
September 29, 2015 at 11:04 am #33118Ahh- I realised that many kind fellows here had not forgotten about my birthday!
And it is Master Gavin´s too . . . ! Didn´t know that- my best wishes to him.Yes- as you were already informed, I spent some time in this wonderful part which they call “1066 country”
and that wonderful guy- some of you call him DDaines- had visited us there!!!! Incredible, isn´t it?! That was a great day!!!
Yes, I took the pictures- more to say: “the wife” took the pictures. I have to check them still and all the other 895 pictures also
and will place them at the right place ASAP!Still have some coins left – a late birthday round for everybody!
September 29, 2015 at 11:14 am #33120Hi Master Archer,
It’s always good to read about friendly meetings in real life.
I thank you also for the drink offered for your birthday, even if it will be a bowl of clear water for me.
Cheers !September 29, 2015 at 1:07 pm #33121Did you noticed what “THE FABOLOUS” (this is DDaines of course) had written: “… and discovered that Master Chris is also a talent behind the stove . “
Please to remind that !!!!
(PS: my pleasure, Master Milo!)
