Let’s have a few drinks and good food (as good as it gets in the Pony, anyway), and finish with some pipe weed.

I will pay for the drink round, Barli. And I certainly will share my Southfarthing. But I’m afraid I can’t afford to buy everyone their meals–especially those voracious hobbits!

Just seen the new Angbor figure on the Newsletter – I like the clothing/equipment detail Chris has put into it though not 100% sure if the Romanesque helmet comb is Middle-Earthish, nor, if it is not the camera angle, am I 100% keen on what looks to be a curved bladed sword/scimitar as I prefer my armies of the West to have straight swords.

Is the pose ‘right’ for the accompanying description? Angbor seems not to have been involved in the fighting so why a fighting pose? That said I like the figure and the points mentioned purely a personal opinion

His Romanesque helmet and pose don’t bother me as much as the fact that Angbor should be depicted as a horseman, to judge from the sparse refs to him in LOTR. So on that basis I’m disappointed, though the artistry of the sculpt is very nice.
