Yes, one beer! And another one for Master Estel!
Maybe a strong drink could help you . . . you will know what I mean after having a look here:October 3, 2009 at 7:56 am #7245Huuoommmrhuomm … it seems to be that I’m back here right in time to enjoy some free drinks …. rhuoommm … ah, well, I did vote for Haldir … hom
Welcome Master OriginalAragorn among us GFM … rhuommm … Master Barliman was right … there’s no secret password except the one he referred to …. rhuoomm … that round, I mean …
huoommm … and I think he was right with his assumption about the ‘extra parts’ of Haldir concerning mould-making and metal costs … rhuoommmhom … he knows a lot about metal and coiny things, our barkeep, you know …. huomOctober 3, 2009 at 8:18 am #7246….THE ARGONATH… what could I say more…. beautiful ! One day I will buy them….
October 3, 2009 at 9:30 am #7250Hicks,
thanks for the drinks!! Master Barlimaaaan, your stuff …eeehrm…. ale is fine!
To be fair: Haldir was once and first suggested by Wendy [It is like I have thrown in the idea of Hirgon, errand rider of Gondor bearing the red arrow]. I just took the chance as I miss deeply the characters Haldir, rumil and Orophin to get one of the great Elven characters. I hope, that Chris will get the spirit of the old Mirkwood and Lorien M-series. Mithril was the one and only company, that managed to match my imagination of the Elves in the way like Tolkien described them in LotR. The last Cirdan figure was not that great, like Elves should be- Chris is much better in sculpting as you can see having a look at Celebrian or the new MX-figures.
So I am looking forward, what Chris will do!October 3, 2009 at 11:50 am #7251Rhuuoommm … don’t have to excuse for that hickup, Master Estel …. rhuoommm … it all depends on the liquid provided at these premises … huomm … ahem, that’s why I always prefer some watery-liquid – that’s the one without furballs (for the taste) or them spicy rat-tails in it with nice umbrellas … huoomm … ? … rhuoomm … Barliman is a busy-less man … rhuoommm … anyway … my congratulations for you, Master Estel, as I forgot to put them with my last post …. rhuoommm …
Yes, Mistress Wendy it was … huoomm … so let’s have a toast on her … rhuoommmhomOctober 3, 2009 at 2:21 pm #7252rita.de wrote:Yes, one beer! And another one for Master Estel!
Maybe a strong drink could help you . . . you will know what I mean after having a look here:It was interesting to see this diorama – it was originally to have been released as part of the Sideshow range (maybe a slightly different version) but this was shelved as the Argonath figures were used as the gift in the special boxed set of the film.
It was made for Sideshow as I remember seeing it in a Forbidden Planet store in London. I wonder who ‘kept’ the samples?
October 3, 2009 at 2:36 pm #7253Well, who cares who suggested Haldir first…. no offence Wendy great idea in the first place… but Haldir will be made and that’s even greater We have a lack of elves in the GF anyway and ideas like black firewood don’t really help in that regard…
October 3, 2009 at 4:47 pm #7255I suspect that the black firewood may have been a teensy-weensy bit more expensive too!
October 3, 2009 at 5:53 pm #7256Huoomm … I do accept the idea of them “dark” woods … rhuoomm … and you shouldn’t think of them as firewood, Master Barliman … rhuoommm … though better they are for this pupose … rhuuommm… might fill your room with warmth and brightness once your hearth is alighted with some of them “dark woods” … rhuooomm … hommm … I don’t recall when I saw one of them … must be some time ago …rhuoommm

BTW: I will include the last month soon. With two weeks of free time ahead of me I can reduce my backlog of projects a bit.
October 4, 2009 at 3:36 pm #7269Mmmmh, there is a big thing coming next weekend in Wesel/Germany. I suppose, the German part of MMP will know that: the DUZI.
Is there anybody about visit Wesel at the next weekend? Maybe there is the possibility of touching eachother . . .October 5, 2009 at 11:58 am #7282MMhh on a very other matter… sorry to intervene… but , about the MW346 dwarves, for those who bought them.. were they primed or unprimed? Thanks for your answers..
October 5, 2009 at 12:21 pm #7283My edition was unprimed. And I suppose the others too, Gildor.
October 5, 2009 at 12:29 pm #7284Huuoooommmm … all unprimed … huom … I think The Man announced that before …
October 5, 2009 at 12:38 pm #7285ok… cause mine is… (primed) I suppose it makes it different… but I don”t know if that affects the rarity…
(same for my Isildur Chr1993, mine is primed)
October 5, 2009 at 12:58 pm #7286Unprimed….
Did not you say that your set came later? So Chris had to send another who was primed …..
I believe that all were sold on eBay are unprimed…October 5, 2009 at 1:01 pm #7287well thanks for your answers
Btw the man asked me for details and suggestions for Arvedui (he is currently working on him already!) So I gave him all the informations gathered here . The palantir… the Elendilmir, the strong emotional notion of “loss” etc…
I hope that with all the details provided, this will be a great figurine to remember!October 5, 2009 at 1:02 pm #7288I’m sure someone suggested Haldir before I did. Perhaps it was a vignette. Regardless, the important part is that he is being made, so a toast for the voters.
October 5, 2009 at 3:38 pm #7292Huoommmm …. Master Gildor, the Christmas Isildur 1993 was primed; I can confirm …. huoom … but now there seems to be a “smaller brother” of that figure as a second “bonus-figure” in some future … hoomm … we’ll see …
October 5, 2009 at 5:55 pm #7293A voice from a dark corner of the current edition of the Pony where we reside says:
I have news from the man, who has been very busy indeed lately. He has completed the Female Assassin of Dol Amroth and states that he is “quite please how the assassin turned out . . . .” I know some are not so thrilled by a non-canon figure, but Chris is usually very understated in his praise of his own work. I suspect that this will be an incredible figure!
Nob, another ale, please, and a little weed for my pipe!
