Oh, I forgot, there are also new pictures of forthcoming releases: the Angmar Halftroll and the Bonus Figure: Isildur.
The Man is also a professional photographer . . .

November 20, 2009 at 9:32 pm #7922The Angmar ‘half-troll’ is a very nice figure (even if he isn’t canonical JRRT!) – but does anyone have any idea how tall he is? – I mean, is he man-tall, or olog-hai tall, or troll-tall, or somewhere in between?
November 20, 2009 at 10:34 pm #7923…. I have seen newsletter… this half troll is nice done… it looks like a wise guy ready to revenge…. tired from battle… nice figure… and for those boxes… 25% reduce prices…. I will buy Mumak now…. as I’m not in EU I have on this price another 17,35% discount ( Irish VAT )
…finally 34 Euros… jeeehNovember 20, 2009 at 11:16 pm #7924That’s weird. I didn’t get my newsletter yet!
November 20, 2009 at 11:21 pm #7925I am trying to give you an answer, Master Barliman: it is easy to come to the conclusion, that the size of the “old” half troll- the M149- could be the orientation.
But I suppose, the new halftroll is sized more according to Dagohir- the 443.
And yes, it IS a very nice figure. You should have thought about that . . .
Never thought to by him, but I certainly will . . .November 20, 2009 at 11:24 pm #7926For everybody who didn´t get the newsletter yet:

November 20, 2009 at 11:28 pm #7927Great, isn´t it ?! The tower of Angmar on the standard, due to the old Angmar serie which I love sooo much.
For your memory:[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/32_angmar5002.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/32_angmar5002.jpg[/imgz]
November 21, 2009 at 4:52 am #792925% off is awesome! I can’t decide between Smaug the Dragon Triumphant, Lord of the Nazgul, Scatha, or the Oliphaunt!! Or maybe two of them. Decisions!!!
Since I don’t have to pay VAT, I can get Smaug or the Mumak for about 30 Euros each.
Lord of the Nazgul or Scatha will only be about 20 Euros each.November 21, 2009 at 5:46 am #7930Seriously, friends – I’m seeking advice.
Out of the 4 boxed sets I listed, does anyone really love any particular one of these? Are there any that you just loved to assemble and paint?
Smaug looks fantastic on the website. How is it in person? The Mumak looks a little “stiff” on the website, but maybe it looks wonderful once it’s painted. Is Lord of the Nazgul as fun to paint as it looks? How about Scatha?
Just looking for some help to inspire my decision!
Thanks in advance.
George Aragorn
November 21, 2009 at 9:20 am #7934the mumak is a bit “raw” in its conception and I don’t like it a lot. No matter how you paint it, it can’t be very subtle and lack “behavior” or details…
Scatha is not bad but a bit nude too…Honestly, The lord of Nazgul and Smaug Triumphant were a great pleasure to build and pant for me, there are tons of details you can work on both on the creature but also and mainly on the base and accessories (treasures, dead corpses, Theoden fallen or Merry hiding), and they both manage to display “personnality” and feelings (like Eowyn or the very head of Smaug Triumphant) … I really like them…
November 21, 2009 at 12:04 pm #7939huuooommmmmrhuoomm … Master Barliman, please … this time one of that rat-tailed liquids that sore my throat … huommm … ney, no water with it, please … hooommm … just come from that Mathom House over there … alas, world’s gone wrong … huoommm

Christoph, you need to sort the ‘Red-eye’ on your camera
– very nice paint up of the orc
I alsways had a liking for those orcs from the early series.Barli I need to settle my tab (if I have one) as we shall be off for a couple of weeks so I want to go with a clear concious – this means I shall miss the second round vote, but congratulations to the winner anyway, may the best orc, man, wizard or eagle win!
November 21, 2009 at 3:15 pm #7943Huoommm … may the best-skilled artisan may have a good while off ….
November 21, 2009 at 3:19 pm #7945George, I agree what Master Gildor say. He is right!
November 21, 2009 at 3:55 pm #7947Gildor and Christoph! Thank you so much for your advice. Holger also suggested Lord of the Nazgul on Facebook.
Here are my two options I’m considering (keep in mind that I also need to start building up my fellowship figures, since I have none):
Option 1 (total, including shipping is 70 euros):
-Lord of the Nazgul Boxed Set
-MS532
-MS533Option 2 (total, including shipping is 75 euros):
-Smaug the Dragon Triumphant set
-Lord of the Nazgul setSo, do I take advantage of 25% off sale and get two boxed sets, or do I just buy one boxed set and start building my fellowship collection?
Oddly enough, I have purchased two of the MX figures (Imrahil and Frumgar) but no fellowship figures.
You guys are probably thinking: “Christ, man! Make up your mind!”
Sorry for printing out my stream of thinking on this. I’m looking for advice!

Thanks,
GVNovember 21, 2009 at 4:22 pm #7948Yes, George, this is exactly what everybody thinks . . .

I would certainly takes the offer. It is only for the rest of this month. The Box Sets are still in production, but I can´t remember when mithril gives an offer on them.
The fellowship figures will still be there. Also in three months. I think you won´t hurry up for those.
So- no doupt in taking the right decision . . .
PS: you got also that Frumgar ?! A lucky man you are . . .November 21, 2009 at 4:42 pm #7949Thanks Christoph!
PS: I sent you a message on FB.
November 22, 2009 at 4:15 pm #7963Well, my wife has told me “no mas!” after I told her I’ve spent $210 on Mithril this month! She told me no more figures for at least 30 days.
But it was a nice week!
1) Frumgar
2) Galadriel prototype
3) Smaug the Dragon Triumphant
4) Lord of the Nazgul box setI’m eagerly awaiting some pretty packages!
Geez – collecting is fun!
But expensive!
November 22, 2009 at 10:22 pm #7967George, I think you made the best choice. Smaug and the Lord of the Nazgul are main characters, with Scatha and the Mumak secondary. Time enough to collect those later.
