for sure if the council was in project, the scene would be even bigger than the unexpected party.. and could require half a year if not even more…
having 13 dwarves, a mage in robes and a hobbit is not like having 14 or so people… from all races, all kinds of garbs (adventure gear, regal robes) with the necessity of some quite decorated furniture too (I doubt Elrond chair/throne would be as raw/rude as the housing stuff of a hobbit…not yet a RICH hobbitMarch 6, 2010 at 3:26 pm #9022Huuuooommmmm … Master Barliman, I’m glad to hear that you’re satisfied with the new undercoat of the figures … huommm … it took a long time and some words addressed to some people to turn that matter to a better … huom … I do not know much, but it was The Man who discovered a new source quite some time ago … huoommm … that’s what you can see and feel now …. hom … one reason why the UP is not sprayed simply is, that a long time ago I asked for not doing so … rhuoommm … I didn’t want to have that piece being spoilt with that what you always called “custard” … huomrhuuuomhom
March 6, 2010 at 3:35 pm #9024Huoommmm … as for another matter … in case you’re interested, I put up some pictures of the painted UP in the Mathom House. They are those provided by the company and show some nice details …. huooooommm …
March 6, 2010 at 4:30 pm #9025Yes, very nice indeed, a tremendous set it is, to be sure – and is it my imagination, or is the painting somewhat better than we sometimes see from Master Fahey?
Oh, and I’m glad you found my note re the improved grey stuff on the latest MS figures, Master Tree – I appear to have inadvertently posted it in completely the wrong forum… I got lost in the corridor and went the wrong way. I blame it on the scrumpy.
March 6, 2010 at 5:44 pm #9029Huuuommm … yes, all them rooms around here sometimes make you feel being in a maze … or … being amazed? … rhuoom .. … huoomm … right, Master Barliman, must have been that scrumpy-thing … huoommm … or your memory which is … hoommm
rhuoommm …. as for Master Fahey, I also think this time he did a much better job, though there really was not much time for coping with it … huooommm … anyway …. sometimes haste produces interesting things … hooommmMarch 7, 2010 at 12:05 pm #9039Some people work best when they are time pressured!
March 7, 2010 at 1:54 pm #9042Not me. I get lost in corridors.
March 8, 2010 at 11:12 am #9046Returning to the council.
Master Axel has suggested Master Erestor. So, there is a chance to interfere. Simply vote for him, as I will do, and the council-project will rise . . .March 8, 2010 at 11:42 am #9047Cunning.
March 8, 2010 at 12:43 pm #9048ah well, Erestor, here’s an idea I like (it was suggested before several times )
March 8, 2010 at 1:49 pm #9049The more I think of it, the more I think mithril works in mysterious ways.
Voting for Erestor may or may not denote interest in the Council piece. Might just mean that Erestor gets made (in one pose) and the council gets made with Erestor (in another pose). And we’ll have two figures (one for each line he has in the book )
March 8, 2010 at 2:04 pm #9050I think that the creation of the Council is a fact (with the attendant risk that these words when we speak of Mithril …). So why would Michael say their “mysterious” words?
March 8, 2010 at 5:27 pm #9054well if you are unsure, Elros Tar-Minyatur is a great suggestion too
March 8, 2010 at 6:00 pm #9056. . . what is a “hump” by the way . . .
March 8, 2010 at 7:07 pm #9057You’re not paying attention, Master Archer – it’s a stein, or ‘beer mug’ in the Bree vernacular.
March 8, 2010 at 9:22 pm #9058. . . no it is a “Maßkrug of Augustiner Bräu”. The specialist talks about a: “dunkle Maß”.
Honourable Barkeep, this is the attemp to transfer this diskussion into the pony. I hope you don´t mind it, Master Barli !
I bet, there is a special “beer-mug” collection somewhere in the secret rooms of this Inn . . .March 8, 2010 at 9:41 pm #9059No, not many survive Nob’s washing up. There’s a scooped-out skull set in silver somewhere, that an Easterling left behind a while back, but that’s about it.
March 9, 2010 at 1:26 pm #9063Love the dark beer….. and if there is no “hump” I’ll drink it out of a scooped-out skull aswell!
March 9, 2010 at 3:30 pm #9069Skull suits fine, harr harr! 😆 But must be of Orkish orign …
March 9, 2010 at 3:50 pm #9070Huuooommmmmm … well, to be honest, I do not wonder about the price for a bowl of clear-clean-you-know-what around here any more … hooommm … obviously our dear Master Barliman can afford to keep a full set of a very rare scooped-out-skull-bowls in plain silver “somewhere”, as he tries to tell us … rhuoommm … well, what to think of it? … huoomm …
either he is piling up some hoard he payed for with those precious coiny things he receives from us for the so-called liquids containing rat-and-fur-balls or even worse ingrediences …. huom … or ….. houum … I would better not know what happened to that poor Easterling … huom -
