Hm, I think Nob was chasing the cat, or the cat was chasing Nob, not sure anymore, both to hairy to say what is what. But good to see the barkeep is on the tap. Scrumpy please…
May 5, 2008 at 12:55 pm #2142That was a useful clue, Master Holger – I’ve found Nob: he was hiding in the cat’s basket. That’s the problem with employing these vertically challenged people. They’re small enough to conceal themselves almost anywhere.
May 5, 2008 at 1:01 pm #2143Happy to be of service.
May 7, 2008 at 6:59 am #2150Nob! My Ale?
May 7, 2008 at 8:44 am #2151Sorry, Nob is on shovelling detail in the stable. Bob’s cat is serving at the moment. He’s OK with the taps, but you’ll have to hold your own mug.
May 8, 2008 at 1:32 pm #2154Miau Miau, or how do you order a scrumpy?
May 8, 2008 at 1:33 pm #2155coff coff furball….
May 8, 2008 at 1:54 pm #2156Furballs add body to scrumpy. And if you think the cat is talking to you then you’ve drunk a sight more of it than is good for you already…
May 9, 2008 at 1:53 pm #2159Well I guess I swop over to Ale, the scrumpy has to much body for my taste.
May 12, 2008 at 5:14 pm #2200Huoommmrhuooommmmm …. hom … I just gave up picturalizing those tiny things … this is not a job trees are used to … no, ney, never …. hruoommm …. I’m really fed up with these technical things I cannot cope with …. so … huoomm. … a nice bowl of clear clean water might do, Master Barliman …. thank you
May 13, 2008 at 5:43 am #2203I’m afraid that, being a “reactionary old fogey” (according to Nob), I haven’t even bothered to get one of these digital electronic imaging devices (though Mrs Barliman has one). Give me canvas and an easel any day! But I have to concede that my way of recording things is a tad slower, and perhaps not as accurate when it comes to recording the appearance of tiny metal men…
May 14, 2008 at 2:40 pm #2207While I’m in the neighborhood, I might as well stop in for a quick pint…I’m afraid I’ll have to pay on my next time through however…
May 14, 2008 at 3:14 pm #2209This one’s on me, because it’s always nice to welcome back an old face – and the person behind it, of course!
May 20, 2008 at 4:42 pm #2256I just got an email about the next release and it has some pictures!

These are so awesome and I can’t wait to get them!May 20, 2008 at 5:05 pm #2258Huuooommmm …. strange it is …. where did Master Jdbrown come across those pics … hom … yes, the riders are at full gallop as I stated somewhere else … hom … the one here is Prince Imrahil as he was designed within that range … huoommm … I wanted to have the MX-figure very close to that one so that it fits well …. hom … you might have a look at the helmet and the shield ….. rhuoommm … among one of the other riders you will clearly recognize one holding a banner … homrhuooommm … wonderful poses of the horses and dynamism of the figures, methinks …. huooommm … though I did not know what the men on foot would be like …. hom
May 20, 2008 at 5:40 pm #2260Huoommmrhuoommm … anyway … a bowl of clear clean water, Master Barliman, please. … hom … that’s what I thought of when I once considered about what to come this year … when I then said that this year will be exceptional for tiny miniature releases …. huommm … we so far saw the ‘Corsairs’ then we saw the light of some brilliant GF-releases, a new MX, not to forget the Christmas figure for 2007, then now the Swan-Knights are about to be released …. rhuoommm … a good year indeed … so far … huooommm … in case those d****d Easterlings would at least also see the light before winter solistice, this year could be regarded as one of the best of this metal-producing company …. rhuoommm … cheers
May 21, 2008 at 2:12 am #2262Wow and WOW!!! These have a totally new and unique look among the pantheon of Mithrils. Chris is really in a zone right now! Someday, we’ll all look back on this as another “Golden Age” of Mithril collecting. We’ll find some rare oddity to add to our collection and say, “That’s proper ’08, that is!”
May 21, 2008 at 5:12 am #2263I imagine we’ve all seen Michael’s new online newsletter by now (surely you got it too, Master Tree?). The illustrated horseman I’d already seen – indeed, I’ve seen pictures of two others, courtesy of The Man (in fact I saw them about six months ago, which is why I’ve been becoming impatient for their release, and puzzled by all the delays); but this is the first time I’ve seen the infantry ‘men-at-arms’ – and they’re the ones on which Chris sought minor suggestions from me when he came to designing them, so I’m very pleased to see them at last, and to see that their ‘look’ matches my hopes!
As Presto says, The Man can certainly do no wrong at the moment – beyond threatening to tap out my financial reserves by producing more figures than I can sensibly afford. For instance, I already have a Dol Amroth force amongst my wargame collection (not GW, I should hasten to add), which I bought and painted long before Chris had ever intimated he might get round to his own range one day. But now I may very well have to replace them…
Rats.

didn’t you got the new Mithril-newsletter or did I misunderstood your quote? In the new newsletter Michael has sent us some nice preview pics of those great figures. It would be hard not to have seen the pics yesterday as they are so inspiring and I think ALL fans should get the same info at the same time (it’s democracy isn’t it??).
Maybe that’s the reason (newsletters do not arrive!) why no one comments the pirate painting contest – the winners are announced!May 21, 2008 at 12:02 pm #2266Huoommmm …. sorry …. I always read the newsletter in a version where no pics and such things are opend, pure text so to say …. huoommm …. I should reconsider that habit of mine…. hom.
