May 18, 2010 at 8:10 pm #10055Well I like orcs and the eagle isn’t so bad. Better than the Mukamil I think! The orc is very groovy! But enough from the everyone’s an art critic deparment! Welcome back Master Barilman!! Sorry about cracking open the “Special Reserve” while you were gone…and those ‘floaters’ did make it special, believe me…it also burned holes in the tables:lol:
May 18, 2010 at 8:13 pm #10057A very nice orc standard bearer. And he even has the proper style of standard since he probably arrived riding on a wolf.
May 18, 2010 at 8:26 pm #10060Well, I would like to invite everybody for a round of free drinks – to celebrate what happens . . .
Maybe Master Barliman has forgotten these famous Bree-ish club-toasts . . .PS: this Gandalf with the Grat Eagle is overfantastic . . . Absolutely overfantastic.
We should give the Man an invitation, too. ( did somebody remember this band named Shakatak . . . )May 18, 2010 at 8:40 pm #10062well I suppose the Man could accept the invitation if he wants so since he has been around, unnoticed among us for more than a year actually… but…shhhh , I won’t spread the name….
May 18, 2010 at 9:15 pm #10063It’s not me, is it? – I’m sure I’d have noticed.
May 19, 2010 at 7:30 am #10066I checked, and its not me eighter Master Barliman…..
I think the Eagle is very well detailed compared to the others in the range. So there is improvement. I also believe that our famous painters are quite capable to bring him to life with a nice colour coat!May 19, 2010 at 10:01 am #10067… I like look of both figures… eagle is nice…for me be better then M301….
he’s ratio compares to a man’s height… and those Bolg standard bearer looks like supporter of an English football club in the time before Margareth Thatcher…but perfectMay 19, 2010 at 1:18 pm #10068Huuooommmmmrhuoooommmm … first of all, welcome back, Master Barliman … huoommm …
well, how to say? … rhuom … that Hirluin … hom … a very nice idea, methinks … ahem … well, I’m afraid it was me suggesting the figure while you were absent … rhuommmhom
huomm … as for comments about new releases I do prefer not to do that before I hold them in my hands … huom … and as for Master Tubb being around here … huom … it’s obvious that it can’t be me … imagine a tree sculpting those tiny metal things … rhuomMay 19, 2010 at 1:21 pm #10069A ridiculous idea, as you say. But I couldn’t model them even with fingers, and my own are largely thumbs anyway.
May 19, 2010 at 4:47 pm #10070Huoommm … I know what you mean, Master Barliman … twigs or thumbs trying to model … homm … we can forget it, methinks … huomm definitely …
though I thought it really was me being first to suggest that Hirluin ever … huommm … but, alas, I’m not sure, well … rhuommm … sometimes my memory also is something of you know what … huoommm … just keep up your good mood … rhuoommmMay 20, 2010 at 8:03 pm #10083Theobald wrote:I thought it really was me being first to suggest that Hirluin ever … huommm … but, alas, I’m not sure, well … rhuommmI suppose we could check if it was important, but it doesn’t really matter – I’m just glad to see him win. But after suggesting Hirluin for several months and then him winning when someone else puts up his name, it does occur to me that I also suggested Bombur for several months, and then suddenly one month when someone else suggests him, hey presto, he wins! I think I’m beginning to see a pattern forming here…
It now ocurs to me that we might have got Eorl a good deal sooner if only someone else had suggested him.
Mrs B says it’s all to do with me. She once astutely observed that I have about as much luck as a lemming visiting the seaside.
May 21, 2010 at 7:28 am #10085Yes, especially if you can’t swim…
May 21, 2010 at 7:36 am #10086Er, I think that was the point she was making.
May 22, 2010 at 9:11 am #10091Huoommm … yes, Master Barliman, it also doesn’t matter to me very much … huom … about that who-was-first-of-that-Hirluin-thing … rhuoomm … “I’m just glad to see him win.”, you said.
I felt the same … rhuooommm … so both of us won, didn’t we … huom … he’s next in line, so let’s wait and see what he looks like … hom …May 22, 2010 at 8:17 pm #10095A toast on “Brave Sam The Garnder” ! A genious strike!
May 22, 2010 at 8:38 pm #10096….ok than this will be my title…. Master Gildor…. please… and let’s toasted again…
May 23, 2010 at 4:37 am #10098“I think Mrs. B. was talking about charisma, not luck!” says a voice from a dark corner. “And thank you for the wonderful ale and southfarthing while you were gone, put them on my tab!”
May 23, 2010 at 5:26 am #10099Why should a lemming at the seaside have no charisma? I think they look rather sweet in their swimming shorts.
