Sorry. we’re running out of cold drinks! – each time I get a new barrel up I tend to drink it. Blimey, but it’s hot here today. All I have is water, so the Tree is OK.
Still scratching my head at the moment wondering what to suggest for the next Fellowship poll. Which is difficult when your only brain cell is being fried by the heat.
July 2, 2010 at 3:25 pm #10650Huoommmmrhuom …. dear Master Estel, as Master Gildor pointed out … huommm … unfortunately no pictures of the “Wilderland-series” and the “Vingilot” do exist … rhuoomm … so far there’s no one here who has seen any … rhuooommm … and I believe this will not change … huoommrhuoommm … at least for the Vingilot vigenette … huom … all that is far beyond what our eyes have witnessed … huom ….

Saw some pictures in the papers today of some British waterfalls that have entirely dried up. This is not good news. Global warming is very much upon us.
July 2, 2010 at 3:28 pm #10652Huuoommmrhuom … isn’t it ‘global warning’? … huooomm …
July 2, 2010 at 4:34 pm #10653It certainly should be, but unfortuntaley we’re all in the hands of politicians who couldn’t find their own backsides even if you paid them twice their usual quota of bribes.
July 2, 2010 at 6:25 pm #10654Well, it is July. A round of ice cream for everyone!
July 2, 2010 at 11:08 pm #10655Yes! It is July. And there are hot days in germany. Just returning outside the garden after having special drinks- simply stunning.
( there was a portion of pasta with anchovies and a bit of fresh sage preparing by the wife as well . . .)
Just a bit like the evening Gandalf and Bilbo have spent together . . .
Just love the summer! Best wishes for everybody!!!Oh- I already have my i´ce cream for oday: four balls of sugared almonds! And there was this typical ice-cream-shop- cream on the top!!!!!
PS: d..”####+++ how did they make this ice-cream-shop cream . . .
I will ask this beautiful italian-background-third-generation-in-germany-living-dark-haired-slim-girl-wearing-high-heels-the next time . . .July 3, 2010 at 6:30 am #10656Sounds to me as if your mind isn’t entirely on ice cream.
July 3, 2010 at 6:42 am #10657Well, I just moved into my new apartment in Vancouver, in a rather quiet residential area.
Not exactly where I really wanted to be (would have preferred someplace over on Dunbar), but its a nice little neighbourhood with useful stuff in walking distance. Like a not terribly expensive grocery store. And lots of coffee shops down the way. And a big park. And a graveyard.
So after a month of blow up mattresses, other people’s spare beds, other people’s couches and whatever else – I have a night of sleeping on the very nice hardwood floor. The couch arrives tomorrow, the furniture arrives sometime during the week and I go buy a futon later. I missed the ferry across the Georgia Strait, so it was way too late for my planned scuttle down to Kits to buy a futon.
Ah well. Least there’s internet.

I would enjoy just watching pics of that figures- I am not greedy and really enjoy just watching- you know just like enjoying watching your children playing in the garden and you have finished all work for this day.
It is like the born of hope thing I would sell my soul to see some pics of it- I named my baby-boy Estel-hope for really serious reasons.
Well as master Theobald pointed it, there is very few chances we’ll ever see pics of Vingilot and the wilderlands… THOUGH , once, the Man told me he would take pics for me of the Vingilot… when ‘he has time’ but we all know that “time” is what the Man lacks the more…
about the “Born of Hope” I don’t understand.. I have posted many pics of it on the forum already haven’t you seen them?
Master Holger, I should maybe not tell it , though I think I have quoted it implicitly… I “can’t” miss a iron hill sale…
though I usually receive them quite later, after everyone else but I tend to learn entish lately so I learn how to be NOT hasty, master Theobald is a good teacher
So all in all, I don’t miss any of the released “unreleased MW figurines” be it half-orc or dwarf, except the two lost ones (archer and guardsman)my only sadness is about [mith]ME2[/mith], [mith]54Proto1[/mith] and [mith]Chr1991[/mith]… But i repeat myself I know
July 3, 2010 at 10:12 am #10660Gildor, I know you wouldn’t put BOH on ebay. I wouldn’t eighter. It was just a example of the man’s work which would sell very well without a Mithril stamp.
July 3, 2010 at 10:24 am #10661there is a C.Tubb stamp on it though…
as there are with PM1 PM2 and soon the PI1 and next…
oh and about PI1… here it is, PI1 : Cuchulain (it is the first of a full Irish Iron Age series that is to be released soon under the “Phaeton range”, If that does not generate a problem with Mithril (I mean Lars here…) I may eventually use my site to promote and reference all the “Phaeton” range…. I will create a special “phaeton range” in my database.
I suppose they will be sold on a “buy it now” basis on ebay?[imgz url=http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/2_cu2.jpg]http://mmp.faerylands.eu/uploads/thumbs/2_cu2.jpg[/imgz]
July 3, 2010 at 10:27 am #10662Yes, but NO Mithril!
Thats my point!July 3, 2010 at 10:28 am #10663I like P11!
July 3, 2010 at 10:32 am #10664that’s PI1 not P11
this stands for “Phaeton Iron Age 1”
this will be dissociated from “Phaeton Mi..niatures 1 & 2”July 3, 2010 at 10:36 am #10665Thanks, I raelised already. Still a nice figure. Could be a elf too lol
July 3, 2010 at 10:59 am #10666Holy s .##: t ! I think this will be too much for my aching heart today. Neither that there is this soccer match of my lovely Argentinians against these Germans,
nor there is this overfantastic super-miniature . . . W O W !!!!!
God bless the Man´s skill !!!!!July 3, 2010 at 11:20 am #10667Huoommmm … if I remember well, Padraig Sarsfield was Irish, too, and is a Mithril Christmas figure …. huoommm … Cuchullain in those old tales was Irish … huoomm … nevertheless the way The Man sculpts the figures is very close, or even the same, as his Dunlendings with their Celtic appearance … rhuoommm … you also can find that “Celtic touch” with his “Teutoburger Wald” series, though the figures are 52mm … huoomm …
Master Gildor, I think it’s a very good idea to add that “Phaeton range” in your database … rhuooommmm … very good idea, indeed …. huomJuly 3, 2010 at 11:26 am #10668Ahem … rhuoommm … Master Rita.de, about that beautiful italian-background-third-generation-in-germany-living-dark-haired-slim-girl-wearing-high-heels being … huoomm … are you sure about those high-heels? … no rooty feet? … huoomm
July 3, 2010 at 12:19 pm #10678well to distinguish Irish (historical) heroes from those who are rather myths&legends ones (which we can see in 54mm in Edman collection for most of them) the Man calls them “Irish Iron Age”
there should be, I suppose, Cuchulain, Queen Medb, Morgan Le Fey, Etain, Emer, Branwen or others, but in 32mm this time, but i think our innkeeper can provide some insight and information about this -
