Not a bad idea to get of work. lol
It’s only 25km but to much traffic and that’s what I don’t like. I rather go to the top of the mountain (what they call a mountain here) and see it from far away.July 30, 2010 at 12:51 pm #11126Mountain sea view…. ouuu jeah…
July 30, 2010 at 1:27 pm #11127No sea views and no mountains here in Bree. We’re actually below sea level and very flat to every horizon. The scenery can best be described politely as ‘uninteresting’, though other words have often been used. Mind you, I rarely get a chance to get out of the Pony anyway, so it doesn’t make a lot of difference. I just take a look at the photos of New Zealand that I’ve put up behind the bar – best scenery in the world, bar none. Do any MMP members live in New Zealand, or is Aussie-land the closest we get?
July 30, 2010 at 1:43 pm #11129Axe99 (Dave Long) is the only other collector I know from this side of the globe and he lives also in OZ.
No Kiwis I know of are collecting Mithril….July 30, 2010 at 1:45 pm #11130By the way has the bathroom changed?
Wasn’t there in a while… 😆July 30, 2010 at 2:11 pm #11133No, no signs of Orc decor yet. And mentioning Axe99, it occurs to me that we haven’t heard from him in quite a while! Is he OK, does anyone know?
July 30, 2010 at 2:16 pm #11134Yes he is still alive
, but a little sick at the present time.
July 30, 2010 at 10:29 pm #11137Sorry for disturbing you gentlemen. The Lady made it in the meantime . . .
I am not quiete sure about her. Anyway.
I put in that CD with “ocean-sounds vol. II: the seagulls return” and return for myself to my hammock . . .July 31, 2010 at 1:28 am #11140Well in deference to Master Rita, Master Gildor and, indeed, Master Grond, I shall not propose an idea, and I will vote for someone named OR evil next month and the month after.
But I am really, really excited about having two selections in one year (my first two!). A decent consolation prize for a rubbish year.
Gavin
July 31, 2010 at 8:10 pm #11141mmhh in deference? why so? anybody is free to suggest
as Grond said elsewhere it seems I have my “band of friends” who also support the idea of exotic and original suggestions… if those suggestions don’t win it means the majority of “voters” prefer more common things… that’s democracy
but who said democracy was fair?
it’s only fair to those who vote for the winners (who tends to be a minority because the “majority” does not vote at all…)
but that’s another debate
July 31, 2010 at 8:18 pm #11142I know, however, I am keenly aware that I’ve done pretty well from the arrangement recently – time for the pendulum to swing back the other way.
Looks like I’ll be making my next Mithril order at my birthday – Hirluin,Eowyn, the Elf and a whole whack of Knights of Dol Amroth

“Oi, haven’t you just made the first suggestion on the GF board? 😆
August 3, 2010 at 7:17 pm #11165hah, I did.
But its a name figure! I have repented my ways!
Sort of.
And no one else had!
(goes off and sits in the corner in shame)
August 3, 2010 at 7:46 pm #11166Get the drinks in, shame on you Gavin
August 3, 2010 at 8:28 pm #11167Anyway, what’s wrong with the current M range Faramir? – I kinda like him. As must be well-known by now – I’ve said, or at least implied, it often enough – I’ll always vote for a named Tolkienian figure in preference to a MERP ‘Fantasy’ figure, but I’d prefer it to be one that we haven’t seen before, or at least in a context that we haven’t seen them before. A man with a bow is, when all is said and done, a man with a bow.
Having said that, I shall now have to think of someone worthwhile to suggest myself.
August 3, 2010 at 9:17 pm #11171Ahhh ! Master Narvi is around and The Bard also!!!! What a marvellous miniature ! A good suggestion Gavin!
Having another Mirkwood elf- for me absolutely necessary . . .Time to get these coiny things . . .

I want a Faramir for fightin’ not mopin’
(I love the old Faramir, I have about four copies of the figure for various nefarious usage)
