Huooommmm … rhuoommmm … but if I were an ant? …
August 13, 2010 at 8:00 pm #11348Then you’d talk very little (hee-hee-hee…..sorry, shouldn’t laugh at my own jokes).
August 14, 2010 at 3:54 am #11349😆 Thats right Master Ent, you can take a seat….. and you can have one too…. just take it will you….
August 15, 2010 at 2:11 am #11353Welcome back Master Ent. May I offer you a bowl of clean, clear water?
August 15, 2010 at 9:36 am #11358Huuoooommmmm … thank you, Lady … it’s nice to see all of you around here again … huom … I just heard that Narvi and the Elf are on their way to my place … hom … so far I just managed to assemble those Eowyn and Hirluin figures … very nice pieces … I think there should be more archers from Pinnath Gelin as a regular M-release, like the Lossarnachs … huooomm
August 15, 2010 at 10:56 am #11359I hope that one day there will be, but right now I’d settle for ANY series of M figures!
August 15, 2010 at 12:52 pm #11360Huoommm … I feel the same, Master Barliman … hom … and … rhuoommm … 10 tiny figures per year is less than 12 releases of the GoFe … homm … then there won’t be any place for a 2010 Christmas figure any more … or any more free figures concerning the conditions of the Goldie Fellowship … rhuoommmm … anyway … we cannot change that decline, can we? … huom …
just for another thought … The Man did perfectly catch up with his backlag of GoFe-figures, didn’t he? … rhuoomm … and “in between” having sculpted for many more tiny metal things than there were released … hoommm … and that Dwarf-filled-vignette … hom … so at least there’s someone you can trust in … rhuuooommmAugust 15, 2010 at 1:01 pm #11361I really wish he’d issue some thinly-disguised-not-really-LOTR-at-all figures under his own Phaeton banner. That would solve a lot of issues all round.
As would Mithril having the common sense to reissue some of their own older material. That would put an end to at least siome of the piracy that’s going on.
August 15, 2010 at 2:49 pm #11362Huoommmm … rhuoommm … possible steps to take, Master Barliman … huom … though I cannot comment on that … rhuoomm … us people meeting once and again in a Breeish Public House are not among the ones who have to decide … rhuomm … it’s like discussing about the weather … come rain or snow … huom … you know … and, well, to be honest, we have become to be rare species, haven’t we? … hooommmm
August 15, 2010 at 4:26 pm #11364Seemingly, alas.
August 15, 2010 at 6:28 pm #11365Yes . . . we have been a rare species for at least the last 10 years, ever since Mithril went into their own “Dark Age” and didn’t make any M Series for a long time, causing retail shops to think they were out of business, or at least not making any more Mithrils. The last time I even saw leftover stock in a store was at least eight years ago, and those were the old blue-boxed figures (they were blue here in the US, perhaps other packaging was used elsewhere).
I have sent the Man an email with an suggestion that I think could help us realize at least one M series per year, if not two. But I want to hear his thoughts first before I present it to our group and the FG boards for comment. No sense getting everyone riled up if he doesn’t think it will work.
August 15, 2010 at 8:06 pm #11369Huoommm … that Man in the Dark sometimes amazes me … huomm … seems to have taken another step forwards … as I also tried to do about a year ago .. rhuomm … so, Master Barliman, you might, please, serve him well – not forgetting that “within the pipe-putting-plants”, please … ahem, them smoky things, you know … huoommm
Ahh .. I forgot to mention … rhuoomm … you can count on me still … rhuom? still? .. yes …August 15, 2010 at 8:14 pm #11370Clear water for the tree, then, and, er, brown ‘water’ for the Ranger. I shall be interested indeed to hear of the plan in due course.
August 15, 2010 at 9:06 pm #11371Huoommm … very much appreciated … Master Barliman. >>> Please don’t forget to mark it at my tap, as I will have to pay for that … rhuoommm …
August 16, 2010 at 12:35 pm #11377fact is… you don’t have to convince Chris… you have to convince Lars… As I said elsewhere, Chris is not responsible for the release of his work being put “on hold”, be it past work, or future work….
August 16, 2010 at 12:41 pm #11378I would like to know what you think is better?
I’m unsure to where to start the topic “How to identify fake Mithril’s”
Should the topic be only accessable by members of MMP, or should our guests also be able to read it?
The question occurs, if I describe detailed what you have to look at to see if it is a fake or a original, what I intend to do, someone who intents to copy and sell Mithrils can read what he/she has to do to make it less ovious that it is a fake…
Please let me know what all of you think!
ThanksAugust 16, 2010 at 1:24 pm #11380…. I do not now where to start this topic… but I have one question for Master Caster here through small conversation with long drink…. … how to recognize fake M 11/12/13 !?!? 😮
August 16, 2010 at 2:14 pm #11381Before the Master of the Casts can tell you this, Nino, first there must be a solution where and HOW to put this topic, as Holger just pointed out!
August 16, 2010 at 2:54 pm #11382Master Thingol, the M number is not important. The aspect on what to look at and what to look for is important.
August 16, 2010 at 3:02 pm #11383Nino, I will have a closer look at my 11/12 and 13, so I can give you a answer specific to those figs.
