Huoommm … as you asked, Master Caster, I think your thread should be restricted and not being broadcasted for everyone … huom … you already mentioned that providing details about this matter might just help those, who want to pirate figures … gruuoohhmmm … and this shouldn’t be the forum to help those thieves …. huom … so that’s one thing … hom
August 16, 2010 at 4:50 pm #11385I agree entirely. Those who know how to forge won’t need any help, but we should do what we can to prevent anyone else from learning how to deceive!
August 16, 2010 at 4:59 pm #11386huoommm … as for your entry, Master Gildor, I still don’t know what to think of all this … and how to comment … huom … let me try, please …
Yes, we all know that Chris is not at all responsible for the production of Mithril figures … right, it’s Lars Edman … so far that always was clear to me …. huoommm … so far I just didn’t get the sense of collecting new ideas for further releases … what for? … let Chris sculpt more figures or series that will end up at a workbench or in some shelves – unreleased? … huoommm … or having them lined up behind the other non-released releases? … the last thought seems to be quite ridiculous, doesn’t it? …
huoomm … anyway, let’s take it as a fact that I clearly don’t understand all this …. sorryAugust 16, 2010 at 8:08 pm #11391to Master Caster…….. as prevention send me PM for answer about those figures…. thanks
and about mithril production… logical is that owner of the company has his own business policy but it could put mithril production into a little bit flexible frame
isn’t it !
August 17, 2010 at 7:58 pm #11396well there is an answer master ent.
Chris is not the person in charge of releasing or casting figurines but he is the sole person who choses WHAT will the next range be…. Helm’s deep was his decision for example…. Lars gives him total freedom on what to do for mithril but he is just afraid that it won’t sell and so… he delays production…
if Chris takes his suggestions from us, then Chris has proof enough to convince Lars that these will sell if not by the thousands at least to enough people to make it worth…. Because the ideas would be what we may have suggested and so it is a kind of feedback prior to sculpting…after all this idea is not mine at all I did not suggest it to the man myself he suggested it himself out of nothing…
but now this topic should be handled elsewhere, it would be wiser to put all of it in Angrenost…August 18, 2010 at 3:55 am #11399Hello Gildor, you are correct in your comments. But the question isn’t whether Chris can make something happen (and we shouldn’t under-estimate his influence with Lars), it is whether he thinks it would be a good idea. One step at a time, I think. I should have waited to comment.
August 18, 2010 at 3:59 am #11400Holger, I am not sure if anyone has responded about your topic of how to identify a Mithril fake, but I think you have a good idea. Unless Gildor wants the thread somewhere else, perhaps it should go in the Marketplace of Tharbad, that is where the other related threads started/were moved to. Gildor has said this area of MMP is restricted to members.
August 18, 2010 at 5:52 am #11401Good thinking. That’s certainly the most logical place for it to be.
August 18, 2010 at 9:52 am #11404Ok then, let’s start it there.
August 18, 2010 at 1:18 pm #11407So, the latest newsletter gives us firm(-ish) news of Helm’s Deep 2 at last, for release (theoretically) ‘later this year’, which must therefore mean within the next four months. Excellent. And the promise of news on the White Council as well. Even better. So there are such things as miracles…
August 18, 2010 at 2:12 pm #11410being the ‘advocatus diaboli’:
another mistake by mithril: not a mere M-figure for more than a few months and then 2 large releases at one time????
They need to knwo, that customers might find it easier to spend a small amount of money regularly instead of a whole bunch of cash once.p.s.: i am not sure if i am really back
August 18, 2010 at 2:30 pm #11412Yes you are! Welcome back to the Lord of the paints!
August 18, 2010 at 3:17 pm #11415A T L A S T !

August 18, 2010 at 3:36 pm #11418That Dunnish standard bearer is niiice!
And “more information on the White Council” ooh!
This is all a bit like waiting for the bus in Dublin. You wait and wait and three come at once
August 18, 2010 at 6:05 pm #11421Ya know, it looks like I’ll be able to make a Mithril Lamedon force using Gondorian shields and the new and older Dunlendings. Maybe some “other” Beornings as well.
August 18, 2010 at 8:39 pm #11426If Master Estel isn’t back, who did I just serve a drink to?
And all of the new Helm’s Deep release are going to be good, I’m sure, Master Archer. And I’m also very much looking forward to the White Council release, about which I confess I know absolutely nothing. But I wonder what the prices of these new releases will be. Are we in for another shock? I’m not sure I could stand it at the moment. I only hope the prices don’t sour our joy at the appearance (at last!) of some new M figures!
August 18, 2010 at 9:14 pm #11428I am not sure I can stand another shock either, though I think I’ll be getting a set of Knight of Dol Amroth around my birthday: the new Helm’s Deep series will have to wait a while. Especially after the pain-in-the-bum saga of the undercoat of doom last time.
Gavin
August 18, 2010 at 10:26 pm #11429Master Barliman: You are c o m p l e t e l y right !
I for myself do look forward to the white Council also, and this news makes me shiver . . .Time for a strong drink!
At this point of time we are able to pay for it . . .
There could be only one thing which sours: the lime juice inside my italian Bitter . . .Concerning that by Master Gavin mentioned “pain-in-the-bum saga of the undercoat doom: I have ordered some of the Rohan warriors from the HD 1 serie last week!
All covered with that sticky stuff . . .Did I forget something? Did “they” forget something?
