Master Milo, I don’t….. but my wife and her herbalist witch mother have this skill for sure!
October 21, 2010 at 1:02 pm #12497Witch mother? Any relation of the Witch-king?
October 21, 2010 at 1:04 pm #12498Blue blood yes, but distant relative…. that’s if you can call it blue. Better not say anymore now, she may hear me.
October 21, 2010 at 1:08 pm #12499I may avoid to use blue skills to heal my mouth then…
October 21, 2010 at 1:25 pm #12500Witch mother has cure kids with leukemia, so I think you will be save master Milo.
For sure worth a try. Better then sucking soup through a straw….:lol:October 21, 2010 at 1:34 pm #12501I keep this life lesson as I don’t like straws.
October 21, 2010 at 1:37 pm #12502I don’t like straws either…. steaks don’t fit through it….
October 21, 2010 at 2:28 pm #12503Huoommm … ???? … urrr … ? … yes, of course … huoommm … but, let me ask, please, am I disturbing another lesson about coocery and brewing? … rhuoommmm … Master Hsf62, by-named the Caster, as a healing herbalists meets some curious and inventive brewer of liquids, called Barliman, known as BB … huom … alas, I forgot the victim, Master Milo …. rhuoommm…
but to be serious, Master Milo, you might try what our Master Caster suggested … huommm … but don’t start with gnawing some bark from an oak (Cortex Quercus)…. rhuoommm … but mind that the ‘Prancing Pony’ is well-known and has best reputations for its famous porridge …. sorry …October 21, 2010 at 2:29 pm #12504hsf62 wrote:The following are the needed herbs.: Eichenrinde ( Cortex Quercus – latin) , Frauenmantel (Alchemilla vulgaris – latin), Vogelknoeterich (Polygonum aviculare – latin), Salbei ( Sage – english) – ( Salvia Officinales- latin)Mix 2 heaped teaspoons (same qty of each herb) with 1/2 liter of cold water. Leave overnight. Next morning warm the tea up ( not in microwave of course), and gargle ‘lukewarm” several times during the day. You can massage the tea into your gums and teeth with a soft toothbrush too!
Does it serve the remedy for other bones than those of the mouth?
I could fill a bath and get inside. My wights bones would appreciate it….:rolleyes:October 21, 2010 at 2:35 pm #12505Sounds like we all have health issues, but I don’t want to get into a competition with you all, because on that score I’m pretty sure I’d win. But at least I’m still alive and kicking. At the moment. Until I trip over those d——d warg skin rugs again.
October 21, 2010 at 4:00 pm #12506Huooommmm … you think you’d win, Master Barliman … rhuoooouuuoooommm … never, I daresay … no chance in that competition … huomm …
as for an entirely other matter, Master Barliman … sorry, but I have to admit it was me having them w**g-s***s (never mention the word, as we once agreed) heaped up a little bit at the threshold to avoid the “Pony” being frequented by banner-swinging snagas … rhuoomm … just a thought, of course … huooommm … I should better take care of my thoughts anyway … huom … Yes, I’ll have it done in a moment … huoommmOctober 21, 2010 at 4:14 pm #12507As I said, Master Tree, I’m not going to get into a contest on the health front. I’m sure there are lots of people worse off than me. But if I fall over those rugs again it probably won’t matter anyway.
October 21, 2010 at 5:10 pm #12508Huoommm … all you said is very wise indeed, Master Barliman … rhuoommm … and very much appreciated …. hooommm … though I have to tell you that I just fixed a new sign at the door of the “Pony” when I was outside cleaning them … ahem … things, so to say …. rhuoommm … the sign reads “Mind the Gap” … huoommm …
October 21, 2010 at 5:19 pm #12509I’ve had another sign put up underneath it saying “Mind the scrumpy”.
October 21, 2010 at 10:42 pm #12514Huoommm … yes, that sign exactly was what I was missing at the front door … rhuoomm … some lack of nails … rhuoommm … thank you for helping me promoting the “Pony” (though you’re part of it) … next thing is to find the the sign reading ‘no credit cards accepted’ to nail under the ‘mind the scrumpy’ sign … so all customers are well-informed in front of the front door
rhuoommm …. being a barkeep must be a serious matter … rhuommm ….October 22, 2010 at 5:55 am #12516Very serious. Now, can you reach a bit higher up the doorframe and nail up this sign saying “Beware of the Nob” – yes, just there, above Hobbit eye-level so that the rascal can’t pull it down. (I’ve had a little kennel made for him, which we can put near the gate.)
As for the “No credit cards accepted” sign, can you delete the last two words, please? Thank you. Then it’s more accurate.
October 22, 2010 at 11:35 am #12520Huoommm … done …. now it reads “No credit at all” … rhuom … then I put that scratchily cat inside the kennel and placed both next to the gate, as you suggested …. huoommm … so, I think my work’s done with improving the outside of your premises making it a bit more more attractive … huom … I really don’t want to boast, but … the entrance looks fine now … hom …
October 22, 2010 at 11:42 am #12521I’m surprised there was room for the cat as well as Nob in the kennel. Maybe the cat will use Nob as a cushion.
October 22, 2010 at 1:46 pm #12531Huoommm … rhuom? … the word “both” meant the kennel and the cat … huoommm … I had to re-arrange things, as there was no dog being found in or around the “Pony”, that’s why I tried to convince the cat to stay in that nice kennel (very fine craftsmanship, Master Barliman, using all that rotten wood from your lumber room to create a new home for Nob ? )… rhuoommm … huom … that sign also has to be changed … err … “beware of the cat” now comes closer to reality … grruoohhmmhuom … but as you mentioned Nob … alas … huoommmm … where did I put him? … huomm … see, I’ve been a bit in a hurry doing all this …. rhuoommm … so it’s time to go inside again and have a bowl-of-you-know-what … rhuooommmm … all this work leaves you having a dry throat … huoommm … I’m just glad I don’t have to do such things very often … rhuoomm …. ? see, from the inside nothing has changed … huommm … anyway, I need to rest for a while … hûûûommmmrhuommmmmMmmm mmm …
October 22, 2010 at 2:11 pm #12532I think that people need more to beware of Nob than the cat. The cat doesn’t bite your ankles. That’s why I built Nob the kennel.
