Governments have never been funny. We have a pollitical party in Bree called “The Raving Loony Party”, and I often think that the only reason they never win any seats is because the other parties are actually even loonier.
But I don’t find insurance companies even remotely funny.
December 7, 2010 at 6:12 pm #13881Huoommm … alas, that is a very serious problem, meseems … huommm … but mind what the word means … “insurance” … right? … huoommm … so what they do is to insure … huomm … they do, of course … rhuoomm … first of all themselves … errr, which means, they have to insure themselves being insured before any client claims anything … rhuoommm … see? … of course for that they need another company to insure them, in case someone claims … huom…
etc. — oh. that’s lousy work, Master Barliman … get’s on your nerves and the money you spent for nothing … hooommm …
alas, if I do remember well, doesn’t that word once have a different prefix, which read “en~” instead of “in~” … rhuoommm …. right you are, that’s not funny at all … rhuoommm … though “incidentials” is a nice creation of a word … huoommm … I better leave …. hom …December 7, 2010 at 7:47 pm #13882“Incidentals” isn’t an invented word at all, Master Tree…. well, it probably is, like all words ultimately are, but I didn’t invent it. Someone else beat me to it by a couple of centuries.
December 7, 2010 at 9:08 pm #13886Fora a last few months is on our television very popular TV show or series “1001 Night”…. Turkish TV show
… main action is not like in these pictures Master Caster
And about Christmas card… I hope I will receive one… it will remind me on 2001. year, when I was received also Christmas card from Mithril staff with signatures of employees…. I remember that signature of Michael was between them, but I do not know where I was put them…

Congrats Master Gardener !😀
I added my suggestions. I feel these are good ones.
Maybe I will win also one day.December 9, 2010 at 8:46 pm #13926Thanks for this my friend… and thanks to everyone who supported Thorin III Stonehelm…. drinks for everyone even for unrecognizable “Nameless thing” voters
….
…. and I’m sure that you will Master Forest Warden….. you will ! I saw your suggestion. Really good tactic !
December 9, 2010 at 8:59 pm #13928I give a huge congratulation to you as well, my croatian friend. I think The Man will do his best!

nothing to thank for, I was very convinced getting some more famous dwarves, even if this Thorin III is a mystery (why stonehelm?).
wait for the hobbit movie and you will see so much of the different dwarf culture.
however nice suggestion, Thingol.December 10, 2010 at 9:37 am #13933Thorin Stonelhelm would go nicely with the King Brand of Dale miniature, methinks.
December 10, 2010 at 10:04 am #13936I hadn’t even been paying attention to the voting after I’d made my own choice, but Stonehelm suits me fine. I was never keen on the idea of the”nameless thing” – the single reference by JRRT provided no guidance regarding what he had in mind, and on that basis I’d prefer it to remain nameless.
December 10, 2010 at 2:17 pm #13937Huooommmm … a bit late I am with this … huom … nevertheless, congratulations, Master Thingol … huom … you had my support …. rhuoommmm …. I placed my comment about that “nameless thing” elsewhere …. I forgot where … huooomm … anyway …. cheers … hom
December 10, 2010 at 5:47 pm #13939I suspect you just fell asleep in the corner there. It must get a bit boring being the Xmas tree.

December 10, 2010 at 9:59 pm #13948Oh yes, what a marvellous miniature! I like that!
Time for the last order this yearI would like to add, that The Man has create again a fantastic piece!
December 11, 2010 at 7:55 am #13952Is thus guy the Christmas figure?
December 11, 2010 at 9:32 am #13955Huuooommmm … yes, it is, Master Barliman …. huom … 20 extra-releases without the antique-finish, as far as I know …. rhuoommm … alas, Master Barliman, not boring at all standing around here beautifully decorated …. huoommm … though, I thought being silent is restricted to about one week … huoommm … and to be honest, I still don’t know when that week will start … huommm … keep me informed, please … hom
December 11, 2010 at 7:34 pm #13965First, congatulations to Thingol for the winning Dwarf, which I also supported with my vote.
But . . . I am not so opposed to a “Nameless Thing,” should it be suggested again. Although I would much like to hear Chris’ ideas of how he might portray it before voting (Grond’s sketched version would be fine with me).
And “Nameless Thing” is at least mentioned by Tolkien, where as some of our winners (some of whom I suggested or voted for in the past) are not, for those who prefer canonical figures only.
This time I’ve suggested two named figures that have been put forth many times, by me and others, Hirgon and Mauhur.
December 11, 2010 at 9:34 pm #13973Hirgon is always nice suggestion…. I’ve also suggest it once… and about Mauhur…. It could be nice sculpting great ugly orc commander….
December 11, 2010 at 9:43 pm #13974Huoommmm … I cannot suggest anything before 6th January, you know … huoommm … which by the way was called “Bohnenfest” in the Netherlands some hundred years ago … huommm …
NO, I didn’t say anything, Master Barliman … huoomm … not a word … huooomorhuomhomhom -
