rrrr….zzzzz…..RRRRRR…..ZZZZZZZFebruary 21, 2011 at 3:37 pm #15495I just noticed noone visted the pony since you provided this scrumpy Master Barliman.
Shall we all take a traditional ale for once ? + 1 bowl of clear water for the wisest of course.February 21, 2011 at 3:40 pm #15496Huuoommmm …. bowl of clear, clean, you-know-what? …. hooommm … so here I am, Master Milo … rhuoommm …
February 21, 2011 at 3:45 pm #15498And here I am as well. We’ve no clear water today, I’m afraid – only the amber-coloured sort.
February 21, 2011 at 3:57 pm #15501Huoooommmm … anyway … huom … then the amber-coloured sort has to do … rhuommm … but mind, please, Master Barliman, a bowl Master Milo said … not one of those tiny glasses you use for providing your liquids in …. huoommm
February 21, 2011 at 3:59 pm #15502I am afraid you will have to bow to clink glasses with me master ent…
CheersFebruary 21, 2011 at 6:29 pm #15505Hello all, now in my little part of the Eriador we’ve had 17 inches of snow in 36 hours; time to get the shovel out!!! But first a mug of ale, Master Barkeep, if you please.
February 21, 2011 at 7:41 pm #15506A hot toddy would be more practical! Seventeen inches? Seen any little guys in kayaks round there?
February 25, 2011 at 9:26 pm #15551Has anyone in the USA recieved their MS561 wolfrider yet? I have been waiting for them all week!
February 25, 2011 at 10:27 pm #15552I ordered mine more than two weeks ago and they finally turned up today – and I live a lot nearer to Ireland than you do. Mithril are just dragging their feet somewhat. Again.
February 26, 2011 at 10:35 am #15555Huoommm … well … I do not live that close to that Green Island as Master Barliman does … huom … though I received them last two releases yesterday …. rhuoomm … but, ahem, that company we know didn’t send me the Aerosol-primer I ordered with the package… though that my order was confirmed before … rhuoommm … huuoommm … well, how to tell … hooomm …
I did receive a dozen old leaflets within that small package … rhuoomm … very nice they are and the company didn’t charge for it … rhuoommm … alas … by now there are only two thoughts left … huoomm … one is, the company doesn’t understand me … huoomm … I think that’s not very much probable … rhuoommmhuom … second is that my Entish tongue doesn’t match theirs … huoommm … though I have to witness that they did send me something additionally …. rhuoommm … that’s what keeps my interest in that company … rhuoomm … surprises there always are … huommm … rhuoommmhuom? … hom … yes, defining surprise means to accept to meet the unexpected, right? …. hhmmmmmm … m? …Master Barliman, I’ll have a bowl of that very nice clear-clean-watery-honey-coloured-and non-smelling-of-rat-tails-or-any-other-ingrediences-you-usually-like-to spice-the-liquids-with-alas-you-you-know-what …. huoommm … I’m sure
February 26, 2011 at 11:55 am #15559What were the “old leaflets”? Pages from the old Mithril catalogue -or something even more interesting?
Oh, and here’s your bowl of what you asked for.
February 26, 2011 at 12:45 pm #15561I recieved those leaflets with my last order. they were:
2005 Vignettes
Smaug Triumphant, Mumak of Harad
The Edman collection 54mm LOTR
Mithril Classics,MERP charicters
LOTR VignettesMV359-MV362
Dol Amroth Knights
10 Nazgul
Battle of Mirkwood, LossarnachFebruary 26, 2011 at 2:34 pm #15563Wow, no leaflets with my last couple of purchases! Perhaps I’ve offended the Mithril people by only serving them half-pints last time they were in here (well, they’re only used to drinking that feeble Guinness stuff, so I thought I’d better be cautious).
February 26, 2011 at 9:21 pm #15568A letter from the Hinterlands arrives at the Pony, adressed to Innkeeper Barliman:
Hello Barli, well to answer your question regarding all of the snow–no, I didn’t see any kayakers–sorry. Although I did receive a rather distressed message from Nob . . . something about you selling him for little metal things?? He told me that if I ever wanted to enjoy ale and weed in my dark corner in the Pony again (without paying my tab) that I’d have to speak up for him.
So . . . Master Barliman–please don’t sell Nob (or Bob). We all know they are not good for much, but they wouldn’t fare well, I’m afraid, in the service of strangers (if you know what I mean!).
Hang on Nob!!! I’m working my way through the snow to get back to the Pony!
February 26, 2011 at 10:05 pm #15570As if I’d really sell them – they’re of too much practical value as the butt of many jokes (i.e. as scapegoats).
February 26, 2011 at 11:59 pm #15571Huomm … thank you, Master Barliman, for giving me a last drink for free …. huomm … very fine quality and very much appreciated …. hooommm … [exit Ent]
February 27, 2011 at 6:16 pm #15585Congrats to Irish & English fellows for the 6 nations as a start…
Now I need to refresh my tongue. Master Barliman ? please bring me a strong one this time.
February 27, 2011 at 6:45 pm #15589I’ll bring you a strong two.
